did not work for plastic headlight repair
the rod was thicker then the plastic and would not melt off before the plastic melted. i tried a small heat gun, pencil torch, soldering gun. No success i was trying to reweld a broken tab off a plastic headlight. it was too thin to do. i have not tried it on thicker plastics. it is hard to get the base hot enough to melt.
