how do I use these to test my PH levels?

You have to mix soil with enough water to use as they are paper. Bit useless really but try anyway.

Can you check shampoo ph level?

Interesting question! Was curious so tried it on two makes of shampoo and there was no colour change on paper. It was possibly because PH level was same as paper colour. These strips give a reasonable degree of accuracy perhaps within 1 colour, so say if ph level is 6 it may actually be 5.5 or 6.5. Would go down the line of purchasing an electronic tester, however reviews say these often pack up after a few months so that's a £100 plus down the pan. Maybe some sort of kit would be more reliable.
