Worth every penny! *by S***S on April 17, 2015* **UPDATE** - April 2020. Not much changed - this little guy is still truckin' along without any problems. SAME mouse I've had for half a decade, used full time at work and no problems. I bought another for the house!. Extreme static shocks have made the blue light go out, but hey, what can you say? Still works great!Love this mouse. Absolutely love it. I have to work 12 hours shifts at the computer for 14 days without rest and I was developing extreme pain in my forearm, wrist, and hand for repetitive motion. After getting used to this mouse, most (95%) of my pain has gone away!Now - this moused WILL take some adjustment to get used to the shape. When you reach for it after taking your hand off the keyboard, expect to knock the mouse off the desk a few (hundred) times! LOL... I did this countless times before I trained myself to lift my hand up a little higher before switching back to the mouse.My employer supplied me with the Evoluent vertical mouse and this one is FAR better for me. I have extremely long/skinny fingers and the Evoluent is intended for somebody with shorter fingers. The shape of this mouse is certainly accommodating for longer fingers.The perceived build quality is OK. Glossy plastic and fairly lightweight. Like I mentioned, I have knocked this off the desk many times with no problems. I say "perceived" build quality, because it appears to be kinna cheap and flimsy, but I have torture tested this for 6 months and I haven't had an problems with reliability. Zero!The DPI is about what you would expect with a OEM supplied mouse. Nothing amazing, but high enough DPI to do all but the most precise tasks.Choosing 5 stars because this has saved me months and months of pain, didn't cost much, has been perfectly reliable, and I think the design is accommodating to a wide range of hand sizes. The blue LED on the side is a cool design touch.I would buy a lifetime supply if they ever go off the market for some reason! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wrist is thanking me every time I use my computer *by G***S on May 11, 2014* I'm a professional graphics artist. I use my computer heavily, and I require a lot of precise pointer control. A short while ago, I developed strain and pain in my wrist ( not carpel tunnel, more like an RSI ). Because of my workload, I have not been able to take the few weeks off of using the computer that I would require to heal. This Vertical moue has totally saved my wrist.Even after only a few days, my wrist pain is massively diminished! The mouse is very comfortable, though not a perfect fit for my hand. ( I have huge-ass gorilla hands ).My only complaint with this mouse is that the middle-button scroll-button is very stiff. ( my software requires heavy use of middle click, so I cannot do without it! ). It's so stiff in fact, that after using it for several minutes, my wrist and finger stated cramping, and my wrist pain started returning! To address this problem, I found a program on the web called X-mouse Button control that has allowed me to map the thumb buttons to middle click. I am now getting used to using my thumb as a middle click.I thought about deducting a star from my 5 star rating because of the close-but-not-perfect size, and because of the stiff scroll button, but the pain relief is so great, and such a huge stress-relief that it's worth the 5 stars for that alone! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely ergonomic and almost fits my hand *by C***N on January 9, 2014* I have big hands, especially for my size. My wife calls them paws, and said I came out of the womb with man hands.I have an Evoluent Mouse at work that I like a lot. It has lots of buttons so I can do a lot without moving the mouse around a lot, The software works great on Win XP and Vista, but doesn't work at all on Win 7. I set the properties to run in Win Vista compatibility mode, but no joy. If the S/W worked on Win 7, I would have gotten another Evoluent mouse.This mouse has the two regular buttons, and a scroll wheel. It also has forward and back buttons, and a DPI button to manually adjust the cursor speed.The right click button is actually operated by my second finger, which takes a little getting used to, Also, its click action is a little stiffer than I'm used to, so it takes a bit of effort to double click. I'm going to research what I can get clicking the mouse wheel to do. If I can, I'll give it the double click function. Update: No joy there, but Windows allows you to adjust the double click speed.There are two more buttons. One is to move forward to a web page, and the other is to move back. The functions only work if the arrow in the desired direction is colored. Unfortunately, I think there might be a problem.This morning, after only a few forward and backward movements with the arrow buttons, the web page got into a mode that I couldn't get out of, except by killing the process. That happened immediately after I pressed an arrow button. (On Win 7). I won't be using the arrow buttons anymore.I subtracted one star, total, for the stiff buttons, and the problematic arrow buttons to give a total score of 4. I won't buy another of these mice to replace my Evoluent mouse at work when I got to Win 7 there.I attached a Fellowes mouse wrist glider to it, and its even easier to use. The wrist glider fits better on this mouse than it does the Evoluent mouse, but I still have it taped to this mouse.Update. Its awkward to use the forward and back buttons, probably because of my bear paws, but the browser hasn't stuck since.
