Delightful as a cello chair
It arrived today, set up quickly and I gave it a spin with the cello. Iโm able to easily adjust it to the same height Iโve been using at my lessons - 18โ front and 20โ back. I wanted an adjustable chair because as a beginner Iโm not yet sure of the best height. The chair cushion is firm, which I like as I feel secure and comfortable. It feels sturdy. Another review mentioned that the back legs donโt adjust. They do adjust. Simply unscrew the bottom rubber piece and slide them out. I also like the way the chair looks. All black, unobtrusive. Glad I made the plunge. I selected the folding version because my house is small and I might want to tuck it away sometimes. Or, if I get good enough, travel with chair & cello. Adult beginner.

Excellent chair for musicians/cellists
Great chair for studio and traveling performers who need a back-friendly and attractive chair for stage performance. As a cellist, this is one of the best additions to my studio for students as well as for myself. It folds and adjusts easily, and it is sturdy and easy enough to transport for its size and function.

It really is that good
I was a bit hesitant to purchase a chair that costs this much but after seeing so many musicians collectively agree this is a great chair, I took a shot because we donโt easily agree on much. Given that we no longer need physical therapy visits, itโs kind of paid for itself. It really was like night and day the difference. No more pain. Itโs nice enough to use to perform and itโs adjustable so really short folks can put their feet flat on the floor and tall folks get the extra height they need. Itโs a bit heavy but itโs sturdy so thatโs a trade-off but one thatโs ultimately worth it.

Not a bad chair, just not for me...
I first saw this chair when looking at a video for an instrument demo (cello) and thought it would be nice to have for myself. I first used it when at a stringed instrument shop playing some cellos, and I was glad they had an adjustable chair there so I wouldn't have my seating position be a hindrance to my instrument evaluation. After comparing prices and considering getting "the standard" for cellos (the Wenger Cello Chair), I opted for the Adjustrite primarily based on price, portability and ability to be adjusted. I got it, set it up - no real set-up, just adjusted the height - and was up and running in no time. It's a heavy chair, definitely felt pretty sturdy and seemed to be well-padded. I didn't put in the hours like I used to back at university, but it performed well during my practice sessions. But for me there two things that bugged me (well, three to be honest, but #3 is definitely subjective): 1) the chair was kinda small for me - I'm over 6 ft tall and it was tall enough, but it felt a bit small for me as far as the actual seating area. 2) the back isn't tall enough to offer full support for my back - this actually bugged me the most when I was resting between pieces, though it is nice to be able to scoot all the way back in a chair when playing cello and have support. 3) honestly, the chair never looked quite right for me. Yeah, sounds stupid, but it's just didn't seem aesthetically pleasing. The nicest folding chair just typically doesn't look as good as a good non-folding chair, and cross-supports and smaller diameter extending legs keep it from looking very clean. The look of the chair actually bugged me the most from the start, but #1 and #2 are what caused me to actually return the chair. I tried to like it for almost 4 weeks, but I knew that I was never really sold on it. I forked out more money for a Wenger cello chair and took care of all three of my concerns. If seat size and back height weren't an issue for me, I would have overlooked the appearance of the chair, but I got more and more nervous as the return window was closing, knowing I really wasn't happy with it and was trying to make myself like it. It was a 4-star product for me based on my needs, though it could easily be a 5-star product for someone else.

Fabulous musician's chair!
As a harpist, I need to sit at the right height to play my large instrument without hurting myself. This chair is absolutely perfect. It is very well-made and sturdy and has a large variety of heights to adjust the seat. It is a life-saver. Highly recommend.

Good for harps
I play harp. This is the best chair for that activity I could find. Folds well. Study. Pro harpers use it too. Comes in tall version. Well padded.
