Paint your clay creations after baking, allow to dry completely then seal with the Sculpey® Satin Glaze. The Satin Glaze is perfect for all types of polymer oven-bake clay creations! Tips for using Sculpey™ Glaze - - Stir the glaze gently and refrain from shaking the bottle to prevent air bubbles. - Refrain from applying Sculpey® Satin Glaze too thickly on your projects as it can peel. - Add a few drops of water to achieve the desired consistency if your Sculpey® glaze becomes too thick. - Apply two to three thin coats as opposed to one thick one. Letting each coat dry for 30 minutes. - Twist the cap for precise flow control, open halfway for detail work or open completely to flood. A: You apply it *after* you bake your Sculpey item and after it cools. It gives a nice finish after it dries.

A: Hi! Here is what I've found on the web: Is sculpey® glaze water-based?Yes, both Sculpey® Glaze Gloss and Satin are water-based.  If your Sculpey® glaze becomes too thick, you can thin by adding a few drops of water to achieve desired consistency. To avoid air bubbles, stir gently. Do not shake.

**Q: Can you mix this product with acrylic paint to make it a colored glaze?**
A: Hi! I haven't done this. Here is a link to this technique although it's not sculpey: http://www.howcast.com/videos/508616-how-to-use-glaze-paint-techniques/. Maybe try a small amount so you can get the correct paint to glaze ratio.
