Good Backup Fire Starter for Outdoor Gear
I bought these to keep with my camping, hunting, and emergency gear, and they work well. I like having more than one way to start a fire when I am outdoors, especially if weather, wind, or wet conditions decide to make life annoying. The magnesium block and striker setup is simple, compact, and useful. It is not as effortless as a lighter or premade fire plug, but that is kind of the point. This is a solid backup fire-starting method that does not rely on fuel, batteries, or perfect conditions. The two-pack is nice because I can keep one in my camping gear and another in a truck kit, pack, or go-bag. The included pouch helps keep everything together, which matters because small survival tools love disappearing the moment you actually need them. For camping, hiking, hunting, backpacking, or emergency use, these are worth having around. Simple, practical, and a good addition to any outdoor kit.

Great product for the price
These work just fine I've got one in my bug out bag and the other is in a small detachable med bag with all my med supplies just in case they get separated spark is quite good on these and it's relatively easy to use if you're very feeble you might have difficulty with it but otherwise it works great.

Small but ok for emergency use.
I purchased these to have on hand for emergency situations. They are legitimate fire starting items that work as advertised. However, these items are very small and difficult to hold while using. The upside is that they are very light and packable though I don't see them lasting through a lot of use. They are adequate for my needs and priced affordably.

Great Survival Skill Tool for Kids
This is a great little fire starter. I bought it to teach my kids how to properly start a fire and understand the basics of fire safety and survival skills. We practiced together and went over what materials work best and how to do it safely. I hope they never actually need to use it in a real situation, but life can throw unexpected surprises your way. I’d rather they know how to handle it than be unprepared. Simple, reliable, and a good tool for teaching practical skills.

Not too bad for budget end of the spectrum.
These aren’t military grade (high magnesium content) but they aren’t cheap end either. Somewhere in the middle. The scraper is a tad smaller than my average sized man hands can handle, wish it was a smidge larger. But it scrapes well and strikes well. I’d say if you were looking to outfit a group, these would be decent. If it’s just you, buy a high end one. I used these to teach side building to a youth group and they worked great for the youth to experience and try out.

Works and is a perfect addition to a survival pack.
After getting the outer covering off, these work really well. They are a bit small so for carrying in a backpack or where space is limited the smaller size is a plus. It is so important to have multiple back ups to starting a fire in survival type situations. I started a fire using a paper towel and didn't even need to shave off the Magnesium but could have if needed. Great Value for the money especially when your out freezing in the woods or need to cook some food or boil water. I have them in my motorcycle packs and jeeps.
