There is a screw there instead. I was able to drive the roll pin out of the new key holder, remove the blank key and my original key fit with minor filing, then pressed the roll pin back in to secure it,the circuit board fit with no problem.The spring is weaker then the original and sometimes sticks, the case does not fit together securely. Super glue could fix this, unfortunately the whole case has to be disassembled to replace the battery so I can't use glue. I consider it good for a backup only. One final comment, it does not come with instructions, good luck. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good replacement shell, but a couple serious flaws. *by N***G on September 10, 2015* Nice replacement shell only, no electronics. Take apart old key and put electronics back into this unit. I took away one star because the case did not come with a chevy emblem for the hole that is cut in the back of the case. It would have been nice to have this instead of an empty hole. And, because the spring mechanism uses a different "key" on the button so the key is not usable in the new unit. You have to get the new "key" cut to match the old one. Not sure why they changed this, really don't understand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only 10 bucks! *by F***Y on September 12, 2016* Perfect replacement shell. Some modification needed to use original cut key rod. Has the blank chevy logo on the back (which i was looking for). I used the parts from the original key to use in this empty shell. Works great. Didn't need to laser cut the blank key. Just took out the tiny pin holding in the original cut key out from the push button base and replaced the blank key, while also using the original spring. Because the original spring is alot stronger then what comes with this empty shell. It now has that click when it opens.After some minor cuts and smoothing(!) to the bottom of the original key rod. It could fit inside the new push button.Will need to super glue it together or it could come apart when you turn the ignition.
