It holds the perfect amount of soup to feed 20 people for a soup and sandwich lunch. I loved it so much, I bought TWO, and am going to buy a third! I love that condensation from the lid drains back into the pot, so no mess on my buffet. I also love the fact that you need to add a small amount of water into the base before you place the soup pan in. This keeps the soup from overcooking and sticking on the bottom. There is also a magnetic bracket that you can slide a little card into, to label the soup for your guests. (Note: I ordered one where this was missing, so I returned it for a replacement.) Even with that slight hiccup, it was a pretty good experience. Definitely a great purchase.
