I used it to remove a double pane window panel. The serrated edges helped cut through the silicone. I recommend this tool because it gets the job done. Review: Worked great on old caulk and paint stuck window - i have owned 2 old houses and have opened many paint/caulk stuck windows with a razor knife. this worked much better and did less damage to the wood as you can lay the blade flat against the side of the window and rock the tool into the paint sealed crack. (also safer than using razor knife when you have to use a lot of force). the long handle allows you to get some leverage when forcing it into the dried paint - it is also recessed so you can use a sawing motion to remove caulk and paint. i bought this tool recently and used it to open a window which had been stuck for decades. it still takes a lot of elbow grease and time (1.5 hour for this one) - the longer you use it, the easier it is to use as you learn some little tricks along the way. Best to start at the top and pull down and rock tool into the dried paint. Very glad i found this tool.
