I purchased this camera and a local independent garage installed it for $100. They charge $100 per hour labor. I believe I could have installed it myself. The camera is excellent. Very bright picture and has the guilds lines. The lines appeared without any special efforts such as downloading some software or some special initialization. To repeat myself the picture is excellent, really clear and really bright. In fact it is brighter than the outside light. Bottom line, I paid about $215 as opposed to $850+. Could have saved a $100 by doing it myself, but thought eliminating the aggravation of doing it myself was worth the money. Review: Great picture - 2012 Ford Edge. Oem camera lost back up guidance lines. Then image flipped upside down about 2 weeks later and then screen would go blank saying "Contact dealer". Bought this camera and it bolts right in.
