Exact replacement for the original Float switch in a 2007 Sea Ray Sport 185
Replaced my 2007 Sea Ray Sport 185 Float switch with this unit and was an exact replacement. After 5 months still working. Reason for 2 stars on installation is because Sea Ray has it under the bottom of the engine which is hard to get at.

Works great. Easy to install.
This is a piece that will eventually fail (mine did after about 15 years, but that's a pretty good run), and such failure can be potentially catastrophic. I test them every once in a while to make sure they are working, and when they fail i replace them immediately. It's nice to be able to replace the old one with the exact same model because all of the mounting points and wires are exactly the same.

Adjust shut off
The switch works fine. Adjust the angle so when the paddle goes down the pump shuts off. When first installed in the bilge I had to shim the mounting to get the pump to shut off. Every bilge is different. Seemed that there was quite a bit of water before it turned the pump on, but this was not a real problem. Attwood Corporation Float Switch Automatic With Cover

Not easy to install, but works great.
Installing this properly likely will require a soldering iron, shrink tubing, and some dielectric grease...so just keep that in mind. But, once installed right, this thing is slick. Turns my bilge on/off with zero issues even in rain/winds. I'm running it in salt water most of the time...still going strong.

Best Switch for the Money
I am an avid boater, currently have 3 boats and 5 bilge pumps. This is the best one I have found. Perhaps there is a better one for a lot more cash but this one has worked great through the years!
