Life saver! The UPS guys' and mine! When you start to have homicidal thoughts, it's probably time to do something. I kept trying to get UPS to stop ringing the doorbell by telling them to stop and talking to customer service, but it never worked. I work odd hours, and they just loved to ring the doorbell when I was *finally* getting some sleep. Then, a randomly desperate search—one of many—uncovered this delightful gadget! Homicidal thoughts no more! It fits flawlessly over our standard-sized doorbell. It definitely wouldn't fit an oversized doorbell, so keep that in mind, as other reviewers have noted. The stickers are great, too. Durable and highly varied. Many are for parents, but there are plenty for those of us who just want to make the package people stop driving us insane (I think there were four options I thought might work; I picked the most polite and directly package-related of the four). So, two things: (1) if you have an oversized doorbell, you may want to invest in a normal-sized doorbell for this device to fit over. They're inexpensive and replacing your doorbell is just as easy as cutting the wires—a common solution advocated on forums about this problem. Plus, you'll have a functioning doorbell you can reveal if you ever need it. (2) Get it. The solution to your doorbell-ringing nightmare is finally here! It is hard to believe they don't offer two sizes in order to handle oversized doorbells, and it is a huge faux-paux to say it'll fit any doorbell, but it's such a miracle-worker and such a single, inexpensive device that I can't take away a star from 5 for it. Really, I give this 10 stars, -1 for the incorrect description, which still comes out to 5 since I can only input 5! :)

I absolutely LOVE this!!!! It isn't the shiniest or fanciest, but it has DEFINITELY worked!!! I used to live in the woods, hardly EVER had anyone come up and knock on my door, and we had to move to a very active neighborhood. I started searching for a "polite" way to tell solicitors that I wasn't interested because we had SO MANY coming to our door EVERY DAY!!! I can't even count how many times I told the solar people that I was a renter and that our landlord did not want solar!! SO searching I went to find something that seemed to nicely say "go away!" and this is absolutely that product!! I haven't had a single person knock or ring my door bell since putting this up!!! I know it's really targeted to people who have babies, but IT'S AMAZING!!!!! We didn't use the double sided tape since we are renting, and didn't screw the piece into the frame for the same reason, but it definitely stays put and accomplishes the task. I LOVE that there are SO MANY CUTE OPTIONS for parents too!!!!

PROS: OMG, this is BRILLIANT!!! 1. EASY TO INSTALL IF YOU HAVE A NARROW, VERY STANDARD DOORBELL (if you're wondering, contact the company, I understand they have other options). I was worried because I have wooden shingles and the way the doorbell is situated by one, wondered if I could slip it on, and also because the bell is SO CLOSE to the door frame. WENT ON WITHOUT A HITCH IN SECONDS! 2. WONKY DOORBELL FIX - I have a broken doorbell, it isn't very loud, but once pushed (OR sometimes it just goes off in the middle of the night if the wind is blowing hard enough), it literally takes pounding with a HAMMER several times to turn it off. My dog is barking because he thinks someone is at the door. A MAJOR NUISANCE. And I didn't WANT people ringing my bell anyway. THIS SOLVES THAT! 3. LOTS of great stickers to chose from and fyi, there are some that are different from ones shown. Really something for everyone. Don't want anyone to knock or ring the bell? No problem. There is a DO NOT DISTURB. Just don't want solicitors? NO PROB. That's covered too. Want someone to knock SOFTLY? THAT'S THERE AS WELL. I actually put a PLEASE KNOCK SOFTLY decal on bell cover and NEXT to it, a decal that PLAINLY AND LARGELY SAYS, NO SOLICITING. 4. PRICE - TEN BUCKS FOR PEACE OF MIND.....PRICELESS! CONS: Well this isn't a CON, just a tip. TAKE a moment to look at the installation video re the adhesive strips that come with it. NOT that it's difficult, just shows you WHERE exactly to place them (and if you make a mistake, there is another set). THE ONLY CON is I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER! AWWWWWWW, SILENCE!!!!

Ok- stop trying to instal a zapper and a trap door for bell ringers. This works well. We work from home on the phone a lot and also have a neurotic dog that barks too much at the bell. We found People don’t read notes, and prob don’t read the sticker that you choose on this cover, but it stops 95% of the bell ringing. If you push really hard on the cover you can make the bell ring, which the remaining 5% that don’t care about the sticker that says do not knock- and a plastic cover over the bell. It is those are the people that bang on the door. We also got a magnetic strip w a note that says leave packages here do not knock...helps some. Can’t cure stupid, but I can make the dog rest a little easier.

I work from home and couldn't have people ringing the door bell because it was loud inside the house and would set the dogs barking. This plastic cover fit snugly over the narrow doorbell essentially deactivating it and comes with a few stickers to indicate intent (I used the "Do not Disturb" one.) This paired with a separate sign indicating "No soliciting" and/or knocking kept my work days uninterrupted. In that regard it has done its job well as even with the no solicitation sign I've watched multiple people on the front door camera instinctively try to press the doorbell (with no response), raise their hand to knock, then notice the sign mid swing before leaving. So this is the first line of defence while paired with a separate sign if you want full solitude. All in all great option if you need no distractions while at work or if you generally don't want to deal with people.

This is a great product! Before we got this we had a sign asking people to knock but no one ever paid attention to it. I got so fed up with delivery people and solicitors ringing my doorbell and waking up my 2 young children! This product BLOCKS anyone from pushing the doorbell even if they try. And it installs in 2 seconds - all I had to do was slide it on. Mine stays on easily even without screwing it in. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to keep people from using their doorbell. Good variety of stickers to put on it too - I just wish they had some that were horizontal instead of vertical because my doorbell is sideways. But I love the product so much I don't even care!

Brilliant product! I work from home and I can be fired for background noises. Neighbor kids or deliveries ring the bell and then my dog goes crazy. No matter how many signs I put up it was still happening. I was able to install it in 2 minutes or less. It fit my standard doorbell snugly so there was no need to use the adhesive strips that are sent with it. I simply slid it over the door bell after selecting the sticker which read "Please Leave Packages at the door". The stickers appear to be high quality and durable. As other reviewers have stated I'd get a new doorbell if it didn't fit mine already. There are no other products on the market like it so it'd be worth it. It's much easier than figuring out how to disconnect your doorbell!

This cover didn't fit our doorbell exactly right, but we were able to bend it just enough to fit. We have an older slim doorbell from the 90s, for reference. Either way, it does its job and the sticker selection is cute. No more needless doorbell rings from every delivery driver and solicitor that comes to our house. No more frantic barking dogs!
