These supplements are amazing!! I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and after taking this supplement (2 pills twice a day) my next bone scan showed an increase in my bone density! The pills are large so you may need a pill splitter but I highly recommend them as a supplement.

Good product

The only calcium supplement I can take. I have tried every form of calcium over many years and always get one intolerable side effect or another. I get no side effects with these. The pills are huge and I have difficulty swallowing most pills but these seem to have a coating that helps them slide down better. I can't say if they actually help my bones, I have osteopenia. I also take a RX medicine for this. After a year of taking them, I had a bone scan with no change. The doctor said that at my age this was good that I hadn't gotten worse.

I ordered Metagenics Bone Builder Active to supplement my calcium intake at the recommendation of my doctor. I recently had a bone density test, and the conclusion was that I need be more proactive about my bone health. I liked that this formulation contains microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate (MCHC)- calcium plus phosphate and other bone supporting minerals like magnesium, collagen, and peptides. The supplement also contains Vitamin D, glucosamine, and Vitamin C for enhanced bone and joint health. MCHC doesn't raise the levels of serum calcium levels as much as other forms of calcium like calcium carbonate and calcium citrate. MCHC is typically sourced from bovine. The supplement is manufactured in the US at a cGMP facility and the amber colored glass bottle containing 180 tablets is double sealed for safety. The pills are large (almost 1" long) and the recommended dosage is 3 per day. They seem to be coated to make swallowing easier. The product is high quality and is offered at a price point higher than typical calcium supplements. I'm happy with Metagenics Bone Builder Active and I would recommend it to anyone needing bone support after consulting with a health care provider.

This is the third time I have ordered Cal Matrix!! Easy to swallow and you never know u have taken it!! No burping at all!!!!

My doc recommended the vitamins and they work well, when I do not take them, my joins hurt. Would recommend.
