Recommended. Review: Better off buying standalone sensor - This is a Sharp GP2Y1010AU dust sensor on a breakout board. The sensors themselves are actually about half the price and are quite simple to get up and running with - you just need a 1.5k resistor and a capacitor - but it was only after I made the purchase that I realized this! That wouldn't have mattered too much (am not above paying for convenience) but it turned out the unit I received wasn't calibrated properly and that was a huge pain to try and fix. Usually they're calibrated by Sharp at the factory but there is a recessed potentiometer that allows for changes and at some point this must have been accidentally tweaked.
