Awesome quality! This thing is virtually indestructible. I travel a lot and have gone through several carry-on cases - plastic, aluminium and fabric. They all failed eventually. This one is the toughest so far. Baggage handlers are rough with your stuff but this one can take it.

Me encanta estar en el aeropuerto con la maleta. Me da la sensación que soy el único con esta maleta y la gente suele voltear a verla. Total failure on the foam
Pelican has a good reputation that I've known for years. However, the pre partially cut foam that's supposed to be so great to form by simply pulling out the shape you want, doesn't hold together with repeated insertion/removal of items. Additionally, anything less than 2" wide of that pre partially cut foam doesn't have enough rigidity to hold anything and will simply come apart with any rubbing on it by inserting or removing an item. Then, to top it all off, the dividers come with half of the product already pre cut and formed. Who was so all wise and all knowing at Pelican that they knew that 99.99% of customers would want the shape they had predetermined? JUST GIVE IT FLAT AND LET US CUT IT AND BEND IT AS NEEDED. Don't waste your money on the foam or dividers --- get the case empty and buy the foam on Amazon, fit it to your needs and you'll be 100% happier. I was shocked at how poor the foam products were. I had come to expect Pelican to have good product all around, but this was a total failure on their part. I was unpleasantly surprised. Very unhappy with it. One last thing: the case is tapered, meaning the side walls are not vertical. Why on earth not? Make fitting things more difficult. Normally Pelican gets high marks from me, but not on this one. Live and learn. Minus 1 star for the terrible tearable foam Minus 1 star for the pre cut and pre bent rigid foam Minus 1 star for the tapered sides and not informing us that the bottom of the case is significantly contoured. I had checked multiple sites, including the Pelican site, and they had no information regarding the drastically contoured bottom or the tapered sides. Other than that, I like the case. Will be very gunshy of Pelica from now on. They've almost lost a loyal customer.
