A: Yes it is as long the only thing you use it is for potable water.. you can also put a little bleach in it to disinfect it before each use..

A: Yes it is 2 inch NPT, stainless steel metal hose connector, direct for all the 2" diameter suction and discharge hoses.

**Q: Is it ok for potable water use**
A: The hoses aren't sterile if that's what you mean, but if cleaned to your satisfaction should be ok.
