Docoshield Moisturizing Lip Balm with Lysine and Docosanol Review: Surprisingly probably my fav lib balm now - Ok so far this stuff is amazing. I thought it was supposed to not have a scent but it does have a subtle strawberry scent which I personally really like. It's so moisturizing and I saw another review saying it's thicker than regular chapstick but in a good way and I can't agree more. I think that's what makes it better than regular chapstick because then it lasts for so much longer. I didn't get it in time before my cold sore but when I got my sore it helped it feel better and heal better. It was kind of expensive but honestly I feel like it's worth it so far! Review: It's my favorite lip balm - OK so I've been using this for a while now. I got it back in September and it's August now. I still have no idea if it's actually helping with preventing cold sores. I haven't had one yet (I usually get them once a year so it'll be soon if it's going to happen) but I do want to say that I pick this out to take with me every day (I have a tonnnn of different types of lip balm lol) because I love it so much. It has a nice kind of vanilla-y scent and it's very moisturizing and glides nicely on my lips. Just be careful not to put on too much because there is a white cast. But you won't need much. Im also glad that it comes in a pack of 3 because I carry it with me everywhere I go so I've either lost or washed several lol. It gets soft easy when it's in your pocket and (like all twist up lip balms) it will start to screw upwards under the lid. So if it's hot out and it's been in your pocket be sure to screw it back down before applying it. I've had one completely break off because I didn't do that. One way to help prevent that is to put it in a tiny zip up pouch and put that in your pocket (if you like to carry it in your pocket) so that it protects rhe twist up part from.veing manipulated through being rubbed around in your pocket.

Good
Pros; This is comforting to fever lip blisters. I would buy it again. Cons; Kind of expensive, and the mech that rolls the balm up, is not very helpful.

Good but can be better
I love this lip balm it helps so much but it’s very gritty and not that smooth. You don’t get much product to the point it keeps falling out.

Best thing to prevent cold sores
This really works. I grab it anytime I think I may have a cold sore coming. Use it multiple times a day and it seems to keep it from getting bad. I recommend this to anyone who struggles with cold sores.

Stays Put
I have very sensitive lips and a box of lip balm I can't return. This works well, feels good on my naturally very dry lips. I live in the hot dry desert. The humidity is 4% today in late June. It stays on my lips better than 99% of most lip balm. Almost like an overnight lip mask. It stays put and I am thrilled.

PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!!!!
This is the only medicated lip balm that works for me. I have a severe reaction to citrus. When ever I eat raw citrus fruit; especially pineapple I get a lip sore (cold sore). If there is a small weakness/abrasion on the spot where my skin meets my lip the citrus acid will enter it and BANG a cold sore forms. Not just a simple cold sore but a long lasting compound scabbing sore. The only thing that helps heal is Abreva but I have to apply it every 30 minutes till I feel it healing which takes a few days. It is also very small with a big price. I have been looking for a prevention solution. I tried other lip balms but they only dried out my lips and I had to reapply every 20 minutes or my lips will start to over dry and start to peel or crack opening me up for any future sores. Then I found DocoShield. THIS is the only product that works for me. I has protected my lips. Does not dry out my lips and I can stop using it if I want and start if I'm feeling a bit insecure. It just works for me. PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

The Tubes Are Defective!
This product really works! I love it and would use it every day to prevent cold sores and relieve them when they begin. But have bought it both with Lysine and without—except for one pack the tubes don’t work properly. Once I turned the tubes enough to raise the balm it was impossible to lower the balm down again. Hence the cover tended to get stuck on the product and created a mess. If not for this problem it would give it 5 stars and a perfect review. It’s much less messy than Abreva and if you take Lysine as a supplement you can get the Doco without Lysine which is cheaper. The balm has hardly any scent and no unpleasant taste. If only the tubes worked properly I would be very happy!
