I don't know what happens, but out of nowhere the ink won't come out and when you move it side to side the ink is so loose you can see the tip going in and out. Last but not least: The clip on part really isn't good! I have broke one of them and they don't clip with notebooks very easily. They write smoothly, they come in different colors, they are easy to hold and they work well. I was pleasantly surprised about that! I also like that you can just twist the barrel and they close out so that you don't get any ink on anything. I match up the colors with whatever I am using them for.
