Bosch SHPM88Z75N 24" 800 Series Built-in Dishwasher with 16 Place Settings, 6 Wash Cycles, MyWay 3rd Rack, CrystalDry and 40 dBA (Pocket Handle)

The dishwasher worked well for almost two years before it suddenly stopped functioning. After consulting multiple technicians, they confirmed the issue was with the spraying tower—a known problem they frequently repair in this model. Excessive heat causes the spraying tower to melt, rendering the dishwasher inoperable.It appears Bosch is aware of the defect, as the replacement part they now provide is thicker and modified to address the issue. However, they refused to cover the repair costs. Given that this seems to be a manufacturing defect, Bosch should recall the affected units or at least cover the repairs. Despite spending hours on the phone and providing documentation from a technician, they offered no assistance.I cannot recommend this model and am now hesitant to purchase another Bosch appliance.

This was my first ever DYI d/w install. I built a base out of pine wood (on flat 5mm silicone feet to avoid condenstation and warping) to fix the 1.5" top gap, depth 20" only to clear the kickplate. I was greatly helped by several Bosch 800 series install series videos, especially Barron's Plumbing featuring his despondent reverse bite wife:)Important points from install:1. Have someone tilt it backward and unscrew front feet by hand until the wrenchable part is visible, it will save you pain later.2. Buy a Bosch junction box so you can continue using dishwasher on separate outlet. DO NOT install it behind the dishwasher if your counter depth is 24", but rather take under the sink right above the cabinet hole, read below.3. If you have to drill holes for drain, inlet, and power make it as close to ground as possible, this will keep the inlet and drain pipes flush with the recessed space under lower back end, especially in a sink-to-the-right install.3. Drain has to have a very high point above the garbage disposal or it will backflow into machine.4. When pushing back make sure you keep machine to the side away from sink, that way you can shine light and inspect for kinks, move machine 2", then pull hoses, repeat until done.Now to use:1. Use only FINISH brand pucks. I disabled the annoying Rinse Aid2. For best drying use AUTO cycle, Sanitize(high temp), and Extra Dry.3. Remove third top tray, glass stem holder from second tray, and utensilseparator grids from utensil tray, throw into trash can. Your life will be mucheasier.4. RTFM and download it on your laptop. The settings are a bit cryptical.5. Do not despair on the capacitive buttons, they get better as you use it for a week.Coming from two Kenmore Kitchenaid rebadges this is the Tesla!German parts assembled in USA.Kudos to Abt. for shipping via airplane in three days for only $40.Installed January 2021. Still happy grin on face!

Touchpad very difficult to press if you have arthritic fingers.

PRO: The only thing good about this dishwasher is, it is quiet. CONs: Is hard to start a wash cycle, sometimes it starts fine or you have to keep opening and shutting the door to get it to start, it’s always a guess. Cleaning dishes is terrible leaves food/spots on silverware or dishes. Such a disappointment for how much we paid. Our old dishwasher, which was 20 years old, cleaned a lot better. Save your money and buy a Whirlpool it is a better choice. We’re stuck with this junk now.
