Hacking Democracy

Superb documentary. This is what a documentary should be - honest and thorough. Some of the best journalism I've ever witnessed. Watched this when it came out and was stunned. Little old lady exposes blatant, massive fraud and nobody seems to care or do anything substantive about the obvious problem... Years later when the same issue comes up, nobody mentions this highly relevant film... Interesting and scary..... I have never trusted politicians since my grandfather, who was born before the great depression, told me what he knew about a few he'd known well and said, "Never(!) trust a politician - they are all professional liars!" Seems more true today than then, even, but people are what they are. And power hungry people seem to never have ethics, so what can you expect? And people tend to believe good liars, despite the proof in front of their eyes. Everybody should watch this film! Unbelievable, and yet, totally believable. If this film doesn't make you mad, you are already dead...

I am a computer programmer and I know how to program in Machine Code. Without going into specifics, I can tell you that the computer expert they brought in is correct in everything he said. The video was well done and accurate. Elections can be stolen. It's not a theory. Everyone should buy a copy, especially tax-paying, voters.

It was painfully clear during the 2016 primary that there were issues with the election and I feel like it is happening again in 2020. It should not be this way. All voting software needs to be open source so that every one can see. This needs to be the case at every level including the systems that count the paper ballots. That is the only way to make it secure. Why should we trust a proprietary company system?This video gives a great argument as to why we can not trust the voting machines, but that is just one of the issues with our election system. Closing polling places, selectively kicking people off of the voter rolls using things like voter draft verification cards and voter crosscheck, selectively closing polling places so there are 2-7 hour lines as well as other onerous obstacles to voting that are selectively targeted at Progressive voters! It is hard to believe how bad our election system is and until we deal with that our choices will be Joe Biden vs Donald Trump. If you ever want to take back our country we need to deal with things like this... and paper ballots alone are clearly not enough as this video makes painfully clear.Every citizen should watch this video.

I am an extreme left-leaning Democract. Frankly, I'm more Socialist than anything else, at least on many issues. Like many in the party, I was entirely inked that the Bush Bunch managed to steal the Florida elections. I kept referring to him as "The Pretender-in-Chief" for most of his first term.When the 2004 elections happened, they were messy and foul, but I assumed that at least, sucky though the results were from my point of view, Bush had won legitimately.Then I saw this film.Wow.You know, if even a small amount of what's presented in this movie is true, we have a major problem on our hands. I suspect a lot more than a small amount is true, which makes it even worse.Ultimately in our democracy we have to trust our elections, even if we can't trust anything else. Given how easy it appeared to be for the Finnish hacker to get into the system, and the comments from the Diebold executive about making sure Ohio would go for Bush, and a number of other things in the movie, I've come to the conclusion that we cannot trust our elections.One of my friends is a Republican. A gay, neo-conservative, ditto-head, knee-jerk Republican. Imagine Anne Coulter as a not-very-attractive man, and you're on the right track. I've tried to get him to watch this movie and he simply carps about how the Democrats only care about election fraud now that it's the Republicans doing it.I think he misses the point rather a bit.The movie is a little overpriced, but well worth the purchase by people of any party. Like I said, we need to trust our elections, or what do we have?

After watching good honest people make the case for how the 2000 election was stolen, It made for a compelling story. Now here we are 20 years later, none of the issues got addressed, in fact it got orders og magnitude worse: digital machines connected by internet all over the world that can be hacked by a 13-year-old, mail-in voter fraud, no voter ID, ballots printed from China by the 10's of millions, the shoe is on the other foot and what say you HBO? Crickets.We knew 20 years ago the game was rigged. Until we go back to paper ballots, counted by hand, we don't have a Constitutional Republic, we have a Banana Republic.Interesting historical document of how the American electoral process went to the dogs... 20 years ago.

This may have been cutting edge when it came out, but by now (in 2022), we pretty much know how vulnerable the U.S. voting system is. If paper ballots are good enough for Canada, they are sure enough good for the United States! Unfortunately for this DVD, if you're interested in the subject, you already know what it's going to tell you.

This is why we need to go back to paper ballots counted by hand. The Russians hacked our elections and the current method of voting puts us in danger of the private corporations that DO NOT allow even the government to review the programming of these machines. Technology has bitten us in many cases, we should NOT risk that which is at the heart of our democracy by allowing these private corporations to have total control over our votes. We should vote by methods that allow our votes to be counted as cast which also has the ability to do recounts, not the case with many of the voting machines used today. Contact your Sec of State office to fight to change how we vote. Do it now! The Russian certainly do have the ability to hack these machines, in spite of what government officials say, including your sec of state. Get petitions to get this issue on ballots statewide to change and protect our right to vote.

Very interesting documentary especially relating to the present U.S. election. A must see for anyone who has doubts about the results.
