This just arrived. Appears to be copper "painted" not copper plated. is this just a copper colored paint?

I painted the interior with rustoleum copper colored to stop rust.

Could this be put outside?

Mine is rusting after 5 summers of use outside under covered deck.

Could this be used as a planter?

it probably could but at some point oxidation may dull the finish on it
