Readers can identify 60 bugs, from earwigs and mayflies to emperor moths and stag beetles with this informative little book. The pages are organised by location, showing bugs you might find in towns and parks, trees and woodlands and ponds and lakes. There's also a spotting chart and stickers to add so you can keep track of bugs you've spotted. Review: Handy travel-sized spotter book for small child - Youngest grandson is nature-mad so I bought him a few of these Usborne Minis for Christmas. I'll be honest, I was slightly disappointed with the size but that's on me for not reading the description properly. Having said that, they are actually the ideal size for little fella to pop in his backpack to take on walks - my daughter takes him and his little sister out for several nature walks every week, so these books are perfect for little fella. The illustrations are very nice and cheerful, and accurate - and the facts included are spot on. Little chap is nearly 5 and really loves the books. Review: Lovely book to keep little ones busy - This book is great and we got so much use out of it. Firstly itโs small, so very easy to take with you on a walk or park visit. There are so many insects and bugs to find and it comes with little stickers that you can put onto them when you find them. It also gives you some information about the creatures youโre looking for, making it great for learning. It shows lots of different habitats, so you can take it with you to explore wherever you go. My kids spend hours looking for bugs and they were so excited when they found them. Would highly recommend.

Neat little book.
Nice little booklet with decent illustrations. Great for kids who love the outdoors. Only drawback is the book is a little thin (paper thickness wise, content is good), but still a good purchase!

NOT WORTH THE PRICE
Nicely illustrated. Plenty of pictures and only a little text. Insufficient common bugs. We want to identify things we find in the garden not search some specialist reserve! Good size for little people but far too expensive for what it is - small and thin. Disappointed.

Lovely little spotter book.
Excellent little range of books for children from around 4 years of age (and adults). Doesn't contain all the bugs you might spot, as there are probably millions. However, the most common ones are included. There are little stickers to put in place when you spot a bug. You put the small sticker in the table. The stickers are rather tiny for or fading eyesight. With a bit of squinting, it is possible to see them and very rewarding to put them in place recording the bugs seen in different habitats.
