Will this work with. 22lr rifle shooting at 110 yards??

Yes it will, got good groups at 157 Yards with CCI ammo out a Norinco J-15 , which is a tack driver, just don't shoot on a windy day, .22lr rifles are picky when it comes to ammo, so you going to have to experiment

Does this also tell wind direction?

no it does not, only wind speed, but if you have a compass, and a piece of thin string you can get the wind direction , just point the thing in that direction and you get true wind speed, if you are using the gadget for long range shooting, take into consideration that the wind speed and direction may not be the same at the target location, is that is what you are using this thing for , try bullets with high BC (ballistic coefficient), works well at 800 y, 3 moa give and take which is very good for the price. hope that helps.
