It does take a few to get used to. Like any edger it makes a mess the first time or until you have a nice edged out line around your lawn (uses a lot of line too). Beyond that it’s great.They warn about projectiles but I don’t think it’s any more than a normal trimmer. It really does create a vacuum when using it as a mower for small areas. If you rev it up on cement you can really feel it.I installed it on a Stihl FS55. I had to add four 3/16” washers (nuts in my case, not included) in between the trimmers mount and the bracket for the Edgit to get the trimming line as close to the disk as possible (recommended for a narrow edging. Without the washers it was making a ½” gap). Everything else you need does come with it.
