Fits straight shaft Echo SRM models. EDGIT PRO attachment concerts trimmers into a walk behind edger for fast, clean edges every time. 14" revolving disk replaces the trimmer shield and rolls down the edge placing and holding the trimmer string in the best position for crisp, clean edges. Works great on curves. In the horizontal, trimming position, the EDGIT shield design creates an upward draft, standing grass up, to provide an even cut. Operates with standard tap-n-feed trimmer heads.

    I admit that when I received the Edging Guide which is basically a plastic disk grafted onto a lazy suzan, I was a bit skeptical.  After using it, I am 100% sold!  It takes a time or two to get used to operating it, and I was never able to manage it "left handed" as the directions suggest, but with this thing on my Echo trimmer I can now edge in approximately half the time it used to take me.  The cut at approximately 1 to 1.25 inches is a bit wider than that of a bladed edger, but it is very clean and straight. The best feature is that compared to a bladed edger, this thing FLIES.  With your stock guard removed, you no longer have a "cutter" to trim off the end of the line and make it a fixed length, but the end of the line wears off by itself, and you quickly learn how much to release by listening to the sound it makes.  An unexpected trait occurs when you are dispensing line over concrete.  When the line length reaches the edge of the disk, it generates a strong suction, pulling the head down toward the concrete.  This is not a problem, I just found it interesting.  :-)  According to the manufacturer, this helps stand the grass up for cutting when you are using it as a trimmer rather than an edger.
