**Q: I have 20v input and want 6v output can you set the output voltage? I need low voltage protection and the ability to step down the voltage.**
A: What you need is called a "buck". There are 3 kinds: step-up, step-down and step-up/down.

I use a step up/down buck with this low-voltage cutoff module. As the output voltage from the LiPo battery that I'm using drops from 12.4V at fall charge to 10.4V at minimum operating voltage, the buck maintains a constant 12.0V to the powered device. When the battery reaches it's minimum recommended operating voltage of 10.4V, the low-voltage cutoff module cuts off power to prevent the battery from further discharging. LiPo batteries can be permanently damaged if they fall below about 9V output (and they're expensive to replace!)

**Q: Will this work with LiPo batteries?**
A: yes

**Q: I can connect this to a li ion battery and it will output enough power for a 300w inverter? Something like 25 amps?**
A: In your scenario, you would use this module to control a higher amperage relay that can handle the higher load. Just connect the output of the protection module to the control terminals of the larger relay.

**Q: Why is imput voltage 12-36 but output is 6-60V?  Can this be used with 56V battery?**
A: Grammatical error, 36v max, in you're case it it will work if you have access to the connections of the individual cells or banks

Another seller of this same item has excellent directions on the amazon page. This seller doesn't. I took off one star for directions. It looks to me like several sellers are selling the same item. The first one I got, from another seller, did not work at all. I opened the first one from this seller and it worked like a champ. And I have a spare. Every feature worked fine. When I lowered the voltage below the cutoff, it cut off great. When I raised it 2V over the cutoff, it came back on. I did not have to adjust the voltage, it was spot on to my meter out of the package. Perfect. I have a 24V LIFEPO4 battery, and it is nominally at about 26V. By 24V, there is almost nothing left in the battery, but my circuit doesn't like low voltage, so the cutoff at 24V makes a clean off, so if I forget to turn it off (yes, I did that once, with bad results), the circuit is protected. This is even higher cutoff than the battery pack bms (2.5V/cell=20V) .
