in Brazil we call it Goiaba. I've been yearning for it for years, thank goodness it is being sold here in these United Sates. it is simply Delicious. The guava pieces and seeds in the "goiabada" makes it very tasty. Goes very well with cream cheese.

False goiabada cascao
Simply put, it's not what is advertised or even reportedly "delivered". You can see in the photo that what was delivered is NOT what Amazon reported was delivered. Goiabada cascão is just different from goiabada. It has fiber and seeds and more. It's just more "natural", not so processed. I do not know who I can give this stuff that was delivered to. What the seller here does is much like a type of street seller or hawker in Brazil's city markets, called a "malandro", does: "vende gato por lebre"(sells cat as if it were leopard). While this is a good lesson for buyers anywhere, it's frustrating for people who just want authentic Brazilian products. Caveat emptor, I guess.
