A: Yes it will.  It’s a long style pump, if you can almost fit your fingers between the back of the existing pump and the timing cover it will work

**Q: Does this water pump turn in reverse or forward**
A: regular rotation, ones with bracket holes go in reverse.

Works Great and fits great. I replaced my water pump in my 1979 Z28. I did primer it and painted it Chevy blue. I heard if you didn't want your new water pump to look like an old one you should paint it. Looks great. Wanted to keep the stock look.
