Really nice device
To start with, I do not use only Ableton, so to me, the challenge is to have devices that can work with different DAW. This one just blew me away; it is thin, well built; the buttons are rocking a lot, but nothing too bad; you won't find the same firmness of an MPC pad, so if you like that style and feel, you may not find the same in the launchpad mini. Responsiveness of the pads is great, color is bright and can be reduced/increased, based on your preferences. As far as functionalities, it works with Ableton of course; and it has 3 configurable modes, which is the best part of the device. You can assign a drumpad , a scale, a full keyboard or sliders and faders to the 64 pads; I found the faders being just a gimmick, so I am not using the buttons in that way. But if you think that you can set up 64 buttons as CC messages or program controls, this is huge; and imagine you have 3 "pages" to save those settings, so you have 64x3 buttons available to customize macros from your favorite DAW. I set it up with Cubase and Studio one, and used all 3 modes as custom, since I don't care to have neither 4x16 drumpads, nor a 4 octave keyboard; so I set one custom mode for each DAW, while the third mode is common to both (like mute, solo, arm track controls and so on.), and it works great. It is very small and fits great on my desk, with my other gear; I was skeptic since I knew that the launchpad is fundamentally a midi controller for Ableton live; but it works with anything, and you can really customize it as you see fit, with the Novation editor, and save profiles. Best 100 dollars ever spent

High quality, reasonable price, great sound and performance playback.
Great quality for the price! I purchased this controller in Sept. of 2025 and it's been a game changer for me. This sampler allows for seamless use in Ableton and Virtual DJ. I have used it in live gigs and now I've started producing my own loops and samples for future sets. Highly recommended for both DJ's and producers. Zero MIDI mapping headaches and the sound quality is excellent. Lightweight too, so I can easily travel with this on gigs.

Good investment for inspiritational creative music talent.
10 yrold grandson loved it. Used it to develop many, many music compositions which he shared with family. The fact that it peaked his creative talent enough to compose and share was worth the money to me. AND the excitement in his voice when he called to say…..LISTEN TO WHAT I COMPOSED.

sweet little tool!
While the pad is high quality, makes ableton much more enjoyable and can easily be tossed into a bag the only turn off was my lack of ableton codes and content provided. Isn't a super big deal since I have ableton, but I was looking forward to that splice trial. Just be careful when it comes to that... Otherwise the monitoring and play of the audio on this guy is enjoyable. Fits nice amongst my ales is V-Mini since it's a small dude. Might not be solid for beginners since there aren't adjustment knobs, but if don't mind to mess with your settings in ableton instead of having that placed onto this pad then no problems! the packaging is exactly the same size as the box, so it is very plug and play. no latency problems, yet.

essencial controller
thank you. this is being used with my polyend tracker mini, becasue the mini doesn't have all those buttons. it perfectly matches the mini's grid. it makes the mini a giant and i love it. you should get one too.

Best Launchpad Mini yet!
I’ll say to start .....in the past! I bought an Mk2 mini and returned it immediately after I bought it for a mk2 launchpad X because it just didn’t give me what I wanted from a launchpad....but this version is the BEST Mini yet! They finally brought the Launchpad mini into the same realm as it’s bigger siblings. It’s just as powerful and capable as the other with just a few less features but it does all the customization and finger drumming things that the X and Pro are capable of. The pads feel amazing! The have a slight “click” to the pressure which makes them feel more precise and solid. The colors of the pads are bright and rich! It plug n plays into any device! I use mine with my iPad Pro! Super portable...solid and secure build....super slim!! You’re gonna enjoy using it whenever where ever and however you like. With the novation components website you can make this into any tips of controller you like. Or 3 different types of controllers. The possibilities are practically endless!

Soundboard Use
I do not actually use for Ableton at all. I simply run it as a midi controller for a soundboard, and it works perfectly. Custom color code and layout is a great help for my application. The ability to also map a few squares as a key stroke instead of a midi signal is also incredibly convenient. It's debatable whether it is overkill for my application, but I'm very pleased.

Excellent Support For USING the LPMKiii Mini
The Mkiii iteration of this popular controller is a polished version as expected. Others have provided details of its functions and the changes from the Mkii. I want to point out the clear and accessible set of support materials, including videos snd the Mkiii manual. For those new to the device, these can make a huge difference between struggling to figure out how the several layers of controls function and what they are useful for - and immediately making music. Thanks to a wonderfully illustrated and composed manual, the path is direct and clear. Similarly, a number of videos produced by Novation itself demonstrate specific functions, in relatively short standalone videos. This contrasts with lengthy all in one videos that explain all functions in hour-ish presentations. Those make it difficult to find immediate and quick answers or demonstrations to one’s specific need at the time. The combination of unusually clear manual and supporting videos are a terrific add on to the Mini.

Good Product
Well, this is good product. Although the pads are bit small for playing sometimes but great for beginners to learn and even for advance players

It's powerful for its size
I got this for music production on the iPad on a whim. I wanted a more physical way to input midi notes rather than drawing them in on a piano roll. This blew me away when I got it. Turns out Atom 2 auv3 supports the Launchpads clip launching. This is on top of it being a great all purpose midi controller. You can even create custom control surfaces! I loved this product so much I sent it back to get the more capable Launchpad X. Launchpad X adds velocity, aftertouch, clip record and 8 custom slots. This is all great but it is much, much bigger. I think in retrospect I should have stuck with the mini. One thing you should know about the mini is the buttons actually depress - they are sort of clicky. The Launchpad X buttons don't move. I don't think the buttons being clicky is totally bad but it may bother some people.

Simple, Portable, and Perfect for Ableton Sessions
First off, the size is a big win. It’s super compact and fits anywhere on my desk or even next to a keyboard, which makes it perfect for sketching ideas quickly. The 64 RGB pads are bright and responsive, and it’s really satisfying seeing clips light up in Ableton exactly how they appear in the session view. In use, it’s simple in a good way. You’re not getting a ton of extra bells and whistles, but that’s kind of the point — it’s all about fast clip launching, basic drum triggering, and keeping your workflow hands-on instead of clicking around the screen. Once you get used to it, it becomes second nature. That said, it’s worth knowing what it isn’t. The pads aren’t velocity-sensitive, so it’s not ideal for expressive finger drumming, and you don’t get the deeper performance features of the bigger Launchpad models. But for ideas, live sets, and controlling Ableton sessions, it does its job really well. Overall, it’s one of those pieces of gear that just makes producing more fun and less mouse-heavy. If you’re in Ableton and want something portable and reliable, it’s hard to go wrong here.

Bon produit
