I'm really happy with this small coffee table. It's the perfect size for a love seat. It's sturdy and the sliding action of the top is very smooth. It is shipped very securely with padding and corner covers. The instructions are clear (with the exception of what direction one nut goes, but it's easy to figure out). I put it together by myself and the only tricky part was attaching the top with sliding mechanism to the body of the table. I propped the top on a chair with some towels to get the right height, attached the screws loosely and when everything was aligned properly, tightened the screws. I recommend a ratcheting screwdriver and wrench for faster, easier assembly. This is soft particle board, so I wouldn't use a drill; it'd be too easy to overtighten. I wish the storage portion was a little deeper, but I can fit a blanket and some books in it, so it meets my minimum requirements. Anyway, it looks nice. It's the right size and so far it feels sturdy. The price ($60) was fair.

This table was the perfect solution for us. My partner hates filing away papers he's going to need in the near future. Now he can keep them close at hand but out of sight. The lift action of the table is so smooth that glasses don't tip over and everything stays in place. The finish is very attractive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall sturdiness, although I'd have preferred another 1/2" thick piece for the bottom of the interior instead of a 1/8" piece. It was a little bit tricky to assemble with just one person, but I was able to balance pieces at critical moments using various bottles of vinegar from my kitchen. There were extra pieces of all the attachments, which was a nice surprise. I'm really happy with this item.

This table does look nice and functions well, just taking a star off for the lift to be a little wobbly especially if you don’t use two hands grabbing either side of the table and the difficult assembly. It’s heavier than I thought it’d be. The wood is pretty good with heavy top and bottom - the only flimsy part is the thin wood that fits in the underside of the lift top but it’ll hold stuff. However, this was a huge pain as a girl who lives alone to put together and my back is killing me, this took me hours to do (would’ve been much shorter with a good screwdriver and another person). Instructions are fine to follow as long as you pay attention to the orientation of the pieces but assembling the lift top with the hinges and gas lift rod and attaching the top to the table itself is extremely hard by yourself. Definitely have a partner and YOU MUST have a screwdriver or power drill available because they don’t even give you a screwdriver tip… just the hex key and mini wrench that don’t fit into a screw. Luckily I had an Allen wrench with a screwdriver head from another furniture piece but that became stripped so fast and I couldn’t even use it anymore. Otherwise it didn’t come with any damage or chipping and it looks very uniform and sleek.

Rule of thumb: having a power drill (especially the hex bit) is handy, and flashlight because it will come in handy for the dark corners if your room isn't lit well enough when putting it together. The instructions were plain and simple, while the build itself is easy for a single person to put together; although a bit of assistance with the lid/top might come in handy. For a small room, it fits in well enough and it is light enough to move about easily. But I would suggest having sliders underneath the legs so they won't make a mess of the wooden floors, if you plan to rearrange things in the room often enough. It's durable enough for building a model or other crafting/drawing if need be, or just a general display table. The hinged lid makes for a handy dining tray although I wouldn't suggest having wet items, or sweaty objects (iced/cold drinks) directly on the table top unless you have coasters or such to help alleviate the rings. Same for hot plated foods, or those in takeaway containers (especially the paper ones). The interior storage is pretty sizeable, where it can hold your knick-knacks, remotes, cords/cables, controllers, books and other miscellaneous items. It's rather sturdy when it is closed but when the table top is extended out, I would suggest only having light stuff on it, since there's a good possibility of tipping over. I had no issues of it becoming off centered when opening the table top; although at times I do forget which side it will go up thus having to swap it around when I'm wanting the remote/controller or eating. Overall, the table looks quite nice and will be good for a small dorm or starting table for an apartment.

This coffee table is amazing. It feels very sturdy and solid once assembled, and it was also very easy to put together. Honestly, it only took me about one and a half episodes of Breaking Bad, and that was mostly because I kept getting distracted. Otherwise, the assembly was simple, the table looks really clean, and the quality feels great for the price. Very happy with it and definitely recommend.

This isn't my first rodeo with putting together furniture but this is the most difficult piece I've put together in a very long time. It took me around 3 hours. Some of the screws were kind of difficult to get in. The lift top was a bit difficult to set up with the retractable Pistons. This coffee table is replacing my old lift top coffee table which just got too worn down. I immediately missed my old one. This one is just a little bit too short. When I lift the top it just barely clears the space over my knees when I'm sitting on my couch. If I'm using it for a table I still have to hunch over quite a bit. Also, while my previous lift top coffee table had a seamless lift where I could leave drinks on it and safely lift and lower without changing levels, this one is really wonky. You're going to want to clear everything off the table before you lift it or put it down. I'm not that mad, it was pretty cheap after all. It was a lot of work to get together but I have a nice looking coffee table now, and it does what I need.

First of, delivery was very quick, received the next day. No issues with the box or it's contents, everything was labeled/organized and well packaged. Took about an hr and a half to assemble (without a drill - kind of wished I had one to use) - you will definitely need another person to help attach the top. Instruction booklet was very easy to follow, diagrams are very clear and concise. I read so many negative reviews before purchasing and felt apprehensive on purchasing but unless it's cracked or broken, I now understand some just don't know how to follow instructions. So, take those negative reviews with a grain of salt. Also know the measurements of what you are buying, it's on the listing. It's there for a reason. As for the quality, it very much compares to an ikea furniture. I would describe the material to be similar to the "billy" bookcase. For those who say it's cheap quality - keep in mind it's particleboard, ikea furnitures are made of particleboard too. Anyway for the price, bought it for $119 sale, I'm quite happy with the purchase. The table looks good! The lift mechanism works perfectly and it's sturdy. I would feel comfortable using it as my dinner table. Another note, I will confirm the corners do seem a bit sharp. I'd be wary if you have little ones. I ordered last night and built it today, will edit in the future if there are other things to note regarding quality. As of right now, I highly recommend.

I had been looking for a new coffee table for a few weeks and couldn't find what I wanted. As a temporary solution I bought this. After reading some reviews my expectations were not high, but for £62 it was worth a try. I found this table quite easy to assemble, definitely a 2 person job. My coffee table is solid, when the top is up it is safe and stable enough for someone to eat there meal off. This was ment to be a temporary solution until I found what I was looking for. I have stopped looking, this is the one. Keeps all your bits and pieces out the way too. No more remotes and pens on view.
