VERY THERAPUETIC

I suffer from "trigger finger" syndrome--the last three fingers on my left hand clench tightly into my palm. Part of my Occupational Therapy requires gripping an object, such as a rubber exercise ball or squeezer, night and day to prevent my nails digging into my palm. With the NYOrtho palm grip no more morning pain! No more waking at night searching in the dark for my grip-- the elastic band does the job!!! Also the NYOrtho comes in two sizes (I bought both) so you can have just the right size for your hand. Also, the material covering the grip is nice and soft. And the price is very reasonable for the top-notch quality. I consider my self really lucky to have found this--the NYOrtho has changed the quality of my life.

These are exactly what I was looking for, and they’re very comfortable. They’re simple little things that do the job. Just like little cushions with an elastic band. Love them!

Works well. One I had before that hospital made did not have elastic so was always losing it.

Love these hand grips for my son who has a brain injury. His therapists and doctors have complimented these pads multiple times. So easy to wash and clean. Super soft and doesn't irritate the inside of his hand.

My mom has a left clenched fist. This cushion is the perfect size to keep her nails from digging in to her skin. Two come to a pack making it easy to have a clean one while the other is in the wash. BTW they hold their shape when washed. Highly recommend.

My husband has no movement in his right hand due to stroke. Therapists have fashioned custom hand braces for him twice, but both are awkward to put on and are uncomfortable. This product is perfect for him. He puts it on easily and wears it all day, removing it at night. I checked his fingers several times to make sure that they weren’t getting cold which would indicate that it was too tight, but that is not a problem at all.

I got these for my arthritic mum. She had gotten into the habit of keeping one hand in a fist and her poor swollen joints kind of got stuck that way. Her fingernails had started digging into her palm, and she was getting to the point where a couple of fingers were not going to unbend at all. She’s been using these for about a month every day, and sleeps with it as well. She can now open all of her fingers almost completely, and has much more mobility in her individual fingers and thumb. They are lovely and soft and wash like a dream. I had no problem ironing on a name label. She enjoys holding it as they feel just like a plush toy. For someone with large hands, the elastic might be a bit snug, but it’s the perfect fit for small hands, even with swollen knuckles.

As an OT, I advise for clients with poor hand hygiene or to prevent contractures. Time will tell how quickly it loses it's plumpness.

The items I ordered were a bit too small and I had to order a bigger size. It was difficult to decidee what size to order.

I've got several pairs of those hand grips but those ones must be for a child.
