The learning atvikids tower allows childrens to safely reach the kitchen counter and the sink. Childrens can participate in the kitchen activities with their parents. The kitchen will become a place of learning and active involvement of childrens in daily activities. In addition, it can be converted into a mini desk with a chair (use 2) for a new range of activities for the younger one. Later, when the baby has grown, the wooden bar can be removed and the learning atvikids tower can turn into a ladder (use 3). By detaching the upper part and moving the tower the learning tower will become a table / chair (use 4). The learning atvikids tower is designed on the basis of the Montessori pedagogy's basic principle of developing the child's independence and involvement in everyday tasks. The multi-use tower does not occupy much space and combines several pieces of children's furniture into one. The tower is shipped disassembled. The expedition package contains: the pre-packed parts and the necessary accessories, the assembly manual and the screwdriver. The assembly time is about 30 minutes. Material: Birch Plywood 18mm, sanded Color: safe for children (regulation DIN EN 71-3), 2 coats, hand sanded between each coat Review: Disappointing - So this kind of does the job but we've definitely got a few annoyances though. The latches aren't very tight and can easily rattle open so we don't feel it is very secure. Also the type of hinges are standard rather than hidden so as a table there is a gap where the hinges are set and its close to the end where the child sits so its not wcen like they get much table to play/draw etc. On before there's the gap. Also because the hinges are raised its not even like we can put some cardboard or something over it to create a singular surface because it gets pushed up by the hinges. Also by the time the child sits down, the table is a long way ahead and not easily in reach. We found that our son just ended up standing in the gap between chair and table. Maybe this will improve as he gets bigger though so maybe okay for bigger/longer kiddos. Because of these reasons we haven't used the table chair aspect which has been incredibly frustrating as this was one of the reasons we bought it. But we still use it very regularly in our kitchen as a learning tower though and it does the job, we just have to check on the lock clasps every time we move it to make sure they've stayed in place, but these can easily be replaced if we raffixed them ourselves.
