Featuring a stainless steel rivet joint for smooth operation and a durable multi-component grip, it minimizes user fatigue while delivering long-lasting, close-to-surface cuts ideal for professional electronics and precision work. ## Description The Knipex Electronic Super Knips VDE is made of surgical steel (INOX steel). For cutting level to surfaces, the cutting edges are ground without a bevel and hardened to approx. 54 HRC. Thanks to the precisely machined tips, even fine wires that are in contact with housings or components can be cut precisely. Dexterity is required when working on electronic components and in fine mechanics. Thanks to the friction-free torsion spring, the Knipex Electronic Super Knips 78 06 125 VDE is so smooth-action that the force can be controlled very finely when working on electronic components and in fine mechanics. The opening spring and opening limiter make work even easier. Important: The insulating, VDE-tested grips on the handles protect you when working on electrical devices. A special detail enables ultra-precise shear cuts on even the thinnest of wires while also lending the pliers a long service life: The extremely sharp cutting edges of the Electronic Super Knips 78 06 125 VDE are protected against collision after cutting thanks to the micro-cutting edge offset. ## Features - Ground, very sharp cutting edges without bevel - Shear cut with controlled micro cutting edge misalignment for the most precise cutting of even the thinnest of wires and for a long service life - Precisely shaped tips cut wires close to a surface from Ø 0.2 mm - Joint with stainless steel rivet - Extremely smooth movement for minimum operator fatigue ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B07QCGBWPH | | Best Sellers Rank | 2,665 in DIY & Tools (See Top 100 in DIY & Tools) 3 in Side-cutting Pliers | | Brand | KNIPEX | | Colour | Chrome | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (3,360) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Cutting Width | 0.01 Inches | | Eu Spare Part Availability Duration | 1 Years | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04003773084099 | | Grip Type | Multi-component housing | | Handle Material | Steel, stainless steel | | Included Components | Components Included | | Item Dimensions L X W | 12.5L x 7.8W centimetres | | Item Type Name | ELECTRONIC-SUPER-KNIPS®VDE | | Item Weight | 60 Grams | | Manufacturer | Knipex | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | 78 06 125 | | Part Number | 78 06 125 | | Set Name | Multicomponent | | Specification Met | VDE | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Usage | Cutting | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KNIPEX - **Colour:** Chrome - **Cutting width:** 0.01 Inches - **Grip type:** Multi-component housing - **Handle material:** Steel, stainless steel - **Item weight:** 60 Grams - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Product dimensions:** 12.5L x 7.8W centimetres - **Specific uses for product:** Cutting - **Specification met:** VDE ## Images ![KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, VDE, 78 06 125 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61SNkmNOSBL.jpg) ![KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, VDE, 78 06 125 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61M76QlSG5L.jpg) ![KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, VDE, 78 06 125 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/615rGfU-4hL.jpg) ![KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, VDE, 78 06 125 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YTQeJvbFL.jpg) ![KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, VDE, 78 06 125 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71l9OcAiG2L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Colour Name, Pattern Name, Size Name, Style Name** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Has anyone cut braid around a cable with these?** A: Yes just don’t cut thick copper cores like fibre....anything sliver colour is fine **Q: Do the jaws close flush or are they ofset slightly** A: Yes the jaws do close flush and I do recommend these cutters **Q: Are these spring loaded?** A: Yes they are mate **Q: Are these sprung?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product - definitely recommend *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 February 2026* Quality product. Good grip. Needed close / flush cut snips and these are perfect for the job. Very effective and sharp. Delighted with this item and I wish I’d bought them sooner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 April 2026* Fantastic would recommend this to anyone I use them every single day and they are still good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good quality *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 March 2025* Great little flush cutters. Minimal effort to get a nice smooth edge on cable ties. Definitely worth the extra cost. I'd used the cheap Amazon yellow and black ones for years but the most recent ones I bought felt very poor and didn't cut as well as they used to so decided to pay for the decent ones and they are easily a superior product. ## Frequently Bought Together - KNIPEX Electronic Super Knips Electronics Diagonal Cutter, 125 mm, VDE, Soft Wire(Copper) to 1.6 mm, Medium Hard Wire to 1 mm, 78 06 125 - Knipex Diagonal Cutter chrome-plated, insulated with multi-component grips, VDE-tested 160 mm 70 06 160 - Knipex Pliers for Electrical Installation chrome-plated, insulated with multi-component grips, VDE-tested 200 mm (self-service card/blister) 13 86 200 SB --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/165508546-knipex-electronic-super-knips-electronics-diagonal-cutter-vde-78-06](https://www.desertcart.in/products/165508546-knipex-electronic-super-knips-electronics-diagonal-cutter-vde-78-06) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
