The subject here is sex for the most part, but I love the words and music to especially "Bad Girl", "Rain" and "Where Life Begins". She made an exceptional video for "Bad Girl". It's exceptional in that it warns women about taking strangers to bed. I like all the songs really, but "Bad Girl" and "Where Life Begins" (a song with clever wording that's talking about cunnilingus) are songs I like to play over and over again because the words and the music just seem to touch me in a special way. An old standard called "Fever" is included, which is a favorite of mine as well. "Erotic" is a great song although I'm not into S&M like the song is talking about. There's also a song called "What Do I Have to Do", which is a positive song about people getting along and having the freedom to live their lives as they see fit. It's a great song with a great beat. Warning: explicit language is a part of some songs, but very rarely.

So Happy! Over 30 Years to Get this!
I heard about the infamous Madonna Erotica Picture Vinyl. It is a shame the album was never released with this amazing design. But I remember how taboo everything was back them. But I am so happy to finally have a copy even if it is the Single version. I think they could have done better and add a few mixed tracks of the song as well, but we take what’s given. The vinyl sounds good. Please if you have any issues with skipping, adjust your stylus pressure. I noticed my stylus was set for 2.56grams and after lowering it to 1.56 grams all my vinyls sound way better will less static or grinding. I got 3 copies this Black Friday, one to listen to, one to frame with the history of the vinyl to display, the other one so sake keeping probably pass it after I crock!

My favourite album from Madonna.

Great repressing of this iconic 12 inch.
Not happy with the way my first copy was shipped to me. I ordered multiple items to be delivered on “Prime delivery day” for bonus digital rewards blah blah..it arrived, sliding around on the bottom of the box with several bags of flour and other items scratching the hell out of it lol. Quick return and exchange was smooth and a crisp new copy was in my hands in a few more days. As all picture discs go there is going to be surface noise due to materials but it’s still a gorgeous piece of vinyl to hang in a frame or just have in your collection.

Elusive album.
Probably one of the most hard to find studio albums of Madonna. Great sound and album gatefold sleeve. Shipment was really fast.

Nice Collectible Despite Packaging
The vinyl is heavy and flat. Sound is fine. I don't know why picture discs are put in PVC jackets. It is nice for displaying the picture disc but I've always heard that the PVC ruins the vinyl over time. I have had the Madame X picture disc for 4 years and it is unchanged, but I still might transfer it to rice paper sleeves. Of course, the corners are bent. This is because the backing card is too thin. Plus, Amazon shipped it in a large box with minimal packing, allowing it to move around, wrinkling the corners. Add to that, the USPS is not careful handling their packages. The box arrived crushed and partially opened. I considered sending it back for a replacement but I know any new copy would arrive in the same condition because Amazon does not take care in packaging vinyl records. This is a billion dollar company. Do it right!!!

Erotica has always divided the critics & her fans. Thankfully, as time goes by more people seem to be recognising this album for what it is: AMAZING! I feel that most people looked at the headlines, the 'SEX' book and the film (Body of Evidence) and completely overlooked the music from Erotica which is a shame. People thought she had finally gone too far and were in shock by the stunts she pulled and Madonna's willingness to continuously push the boundaries. Maybe she pushed them too far too soon? But Madonna has never been subtle. She is a bull in a china shop when it comes to the delicate issues. Personally, i LOVE this about her. Erotica has some of her best music on at the time yet is also has some of her worst. The album is great, i can't argue that however there are some rubbish songs that should have been left off. Erotica: 5/5! This is one of her best singles. So naughty yet so brilliant. I love her as Mistress Dita and i love the sound of the song. Fever: 4/5 A brilliant cover of a iconic hit. Madonna changed it a little bit to put her own mark on it. I respect this as it has been covered countless times before. Bye bye Baby: 3.5/5 A catchy tune which is great for a dance floor but I find the vocal sound slightly annoying. Deeper and Deeper: 5/5! This is the best dance song after Vogue from the 90's!! It's amazing!! And the way she included Spanish guitar on a disco song! Where Life Begins:5/5 Okay, so we have one of the most sexual song on the album. Where life begins lyrics talk of cunnilingus. It also proves to be among my favourite. Bad Girl: 4/5 Raw and emotional. Madonna sounds amazing here. My only critique is that it seems to drag on a little too long. Waiting: 3/5 I like it but its one of the weaker songs. Thief of hearts: 5/5 Love this song. Sounds amazing Words: 4/5 Another great song from Erotica. The darker and less sexual side comes out! Rain: 5/5. So Rain is sounds like it belongs on another album. This beautiful ballad doesnt follow the sexual New Jack Swing, Dance & big beats the rest of the album has. It's a great song and is among her best ballads. Why's it so hard: 5/5 Maybe not one of her best made songs but certainly one of my favorites. In this life: 2.5/5 The song sounds a little confused. I think it has an important message and i have respect for it but i feel that she could have made a better song for such a serious and close issue. Did You Do it?: 1/5 as a HUGE Madonna fan I only wish she left this off the album. I hate it with a passion. Samples of her song Waiting with some random guy rapping in it. Ruins the album Secret Garden: 1.5/5 Like the previous song it ruins what is a brilliant album. Overall It's a great album with brilliant songs on it but is really let down by the last 2 or 3 tracks. Worth a listen, if you don't like it first time IT WILL GROW!

Tracce degne di nota: Deeper and Deeper, Erotica, In This Life, Rain, Secret Garden, Thief of Hearts.

Madonna’s Erotica reissue on vinyl is one of her best albums reimagined. The sound quality is impeccable, highlighting the intricate production and daring artistry of this iconic album. Tracks like "Deeper and Deeper" and "Rain" sound richer and more vibrant than ever, capturing the essence of Madonna’s groundbreaking vision. The reissue packaging honours the original, with some minor thoughtful details that pay homage to the album’s provocative and artistic legacy. It’s a must-have for vinyl collectors and fans who appreciate Madonna’s boldness and creative genius. This reissue solidifies Erotica as a timeless classic, and hearing it on vinyl adds an entirely new layer of appreciation. A perfect blend of nostalgia and modern quality—don’t miss it!
