Fun and exactly as I remembered!
Fun and works well! I purchased this for the kids and everyone loved it, even me! Great buy!

NO.
NOT happy. Wouldn't work at first and when I did go to use it, the bottom is non slip but the top is not, not even with grip socks. Very uncomfortable and hard to use. Buttons are also really crap. Would not recommend. Not playable in the slightest. Was thankfully offered an immediate refund, which I am grateful for. I unfortunately now have to save for a metal DDR pad, which is also a pain to transport and use on and off. Don't bother. Not worth it.

Best softpad I've used thus far!
I've recently purchased 2 DDR Foam pads both 80 bucks each... they both broke after 1.5 months. besides not lasting long in comparison I'm seeing even when they weren't fully broken they were no where as sensitive as they should have been. This pad is super sensitive and it seems to work perfect out of the box and on day 2 as well... in fact I just got AA scores on 2 different songs for the first time ever!! It even has a programmable button in the center (Which the other pads I bought did not) The usb cord isn't too long and the dock where the cord sits looks like it can be pulled out very easily (Be careful) It's very nice how they give you a copy of stepmania, I'm just gonna give it away but its appreciated. Sidenote: The instructions for pad use are in English but not the best English so I'm sure one of us would have no problem revising it for them If you have the ability to get hardcut foam or any flatboards you can to put underneath the pad will honestly make it that much better. I have 2 layers of foampads underneath mine atm and it feels almost as good playing on a cab Also this is one of the cheaper pads out there and its worth the price, I'm 250 ish lbs and play on heavy and trust me this is a good pad as long as you can tape it down etc. I'm actually gonna order a 2nd pad right now so I can try doubles again

Nostalgia galor!
Bought this to play some of the old DDR games with my kids. What a hit! Easy to set up and fun for the whole family. Lost one star because it is a little slippery and loose, but very functional.

Sensors are off
I'd like to start with it's very possible that I was unlucky and got a defective product. The reviews on this product are honestly all over the place. But being that I do see this complaint often, I don't think it's a fluke. This product seems like a gamble of whether or not it will work, some people seem to have gotten ones that work. But I don't personally recommend it. TLDR; the sensors don't seem to be in the right place, causing the up and down arrows to barely function rendering it useless even on beginner mode. When I first pulled it out today and tried it with StepMania it seemed fine, I tried a song, and mapped the buttons, and it seemed ok. Later today when I was ready to commit some time to it, it became very clear that there is a problem with the sensors. Specifically the up and down arrows. I spent a significant amount of time testing it out, trying to see if it was a user error, but I could not get a consistent response on either. It is almost like the sensors are in the wrong place. I could barely trigger the down button, and no matter where I stepped on the down button I could not get a consistent response. Which resulted in it skipping several steps in game. I even tried to stand behind the mat testing various spots to try to trigger a response several times and I could not find a consistent place. The up button was a little different, not only could I not get a consistent response no matter where I stepped on the button, but it also frequently triggered from the center where I was supposed to be standing. Which also made mapping the controls very hard. This all made the game extremely difficult on just beginner level alone, and made easy mode impossible. There are two stars because it technically worked, and it did come with a CD rom of Step Mania (which I did not use, I don't have a disk drive, and I downloaded from the stepmania website). And the return process seems to be going smoothly.

OMG IT WORKS
It totally works, I was so worried with the reviews but this thing is awesome. I opened Stepmania and setup the controls (as easy as selecting the name of the button then step on the pad) and then it was ready to rumble. I downloaded DDR 3RD MIX songs and I play on Easy and Medium modes and didn't have an issue with the pad sliding around on my hardwood engineered floors. Dynamite Rave is scored a 5 and it did move a little on the corner to corner jumps, so if you go crazy on this thing and do hard levels then you'll for sure need a rug antislip or something underneath. I'm still gonna get something even tho it barely moves just for accuracy. All in all, 10 out of 10, super stoked!! I'm 12 again! Haha.

Loved this at first but broke after 2 weeks.
I loved this at first. I used this everyday after a workout but sadly after two weeks both of them broke. The sensors move around a lot so I always had to try and find it and then adjust my body to hit that area when playing. It became too stressful after awhile to always try to fix it. For the price it's not bad but this doesn't last.
