So nice to have Boquete produced coffee again
I first discovered Boquete produced coffee while on military duty in Panama. When I first sampled this local coffee, I was amazed at the flavor, smoothness and that it never tasted bitter. Also, I noticed that having more than one cup of this coffee did not produce symptoms of indigestion like US brands. Every chance I got, I either took the coffee home with me or shipped it ahead in as many quantities as I could. Alas, my trips to Panama ended with the end of my duty. Sporadically, I found ways to buy Panamanian coffee but the US sources/importers dried up. I decided to just searched on Amazon and found Cafe Duran and this bean coffee. While I love Duran, I felt that buying this coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee, LLC was the best buy for the money. When it arrived, my wife could not wait to try it. We keep our ground coffee in airtight stainless canister with date code. We ground the coffee, enjoying the wonderful aroma. This coffee is unlike any other coffee in the world. We spent time in Boquete and saw how the beans are grown, dried in the sun the old way in the sun, processed and roasted. The amount of work and effort that goes into this product makes all the difference in how it tastes. I think if you really like a great, smooth, never bitter every day coffee, Panamanian coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee, LLC more than fills the bill.

The best coffee at the best price!
I am an amateur expert on coffee beans. I buy many different types of whole beans and roasts from many countries around the world. My favorite morning coffee is Panama Boquete Coffee. It is sometimes hard to find and often expensive. Fortunately I found Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC, whose coffee beans and various roasts are excellent. And their Panama Boquete Coffee, Single Origin, Medium Roast is my favorite every morning coffee. I have purchased these beans many times and never been disappointed Grind up the beans and the smell is heavenly. Put the grinds in a French Press and the coffee is DIVINE.

Passed blind test
I invested in a coffee farm in Boquete and got an opportunity to go sample the coffee and bring back a couple of pounds. After running out, I have been trying different 100% arabica coffees grown in high altitude regions. Nothing I tried from the local stores tasted remotely as good so I ordered this. My husband accused me of being a snob, so I agreed that if I cannot tell the difference in a blind taste test, I will not order it again since it is more expensive than the other brands. From the first sip, I could taste the acidity I have grown to enjoy. This is not as good as what I had in Panama, but that was a single-source specific varietal(Catuai) coffee from one farm and cost at least 40% more in Panama! I will definitely order this again.

2 lb bags are terribad
not stale but not as fresh as the name implies. id say it was roasted at least a month before i ordered it. last bag i got was like 12 a pound and this was like 17ish. first bag was a good deal, second bag not so much. i would probably keep ordering the cheaper varieties but the 2lb bags they use are garbage. they are designed at the top so you cant see it pour with contorting, and the hole is too small for a hand. and the second bag had a zip lock that didnt work at all.

great value
great quality for the price I've paid up to 30 for 10 oz of specialty roaster coffees and this is comparable low acidity no bitter aftertaste

Excellent Coffee
I spent some time in Boquete, Panamรก and I loved the coffee there. This coffee is a very close second. It's expensive but I think it's worth it.

Save a few bucks by getting the 5-lb size.
This coffee is fresher than the kind I used to buy, which was sold out of a large barrel at my local gourmet supermarket. The "Fresh Roasted Coffee" brand has a faint perfume smell that the supermarket brand didn't have. The aluminum zip top bag keeps it fresh. From now on, I'll buy the 5-lb size. I prefer the Panama Boquete because it has no bitterness.

Not premium Boquete coffee, burned flavor.
We recently traveled to Boquete and toured several farms. We returned home with LOTS of premium Boquete whole beans, roasted medium to light. After running through our supply, I ordered this, thinking the price was too good to be true. Gross. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but this stuff was bad. I first noticed defects in the beans (pieces of shells and unidentified extras). After grinding, the smell wasn't good. I crossed my fingers the french press would bring out the quality. It only exposed it more for a low-grade bean, poorly roasted. The only note I could name was burned ash. And this was a medium light roast. Who wants the rest of the 2 lb bag? I don't know what to do with it. It's that bad.
