Want to do some nighttime photography on the go but don't want to lug around a full tripod? This thing is an amazing solution. While it may be significantly shorter than a full tripod, with a little creativity you can position it in ways to mitigate this limitation. (and arguably capture more compelling shots as a result) When folded up the tripod fits comfortably in most pockets, I carry it in my jacket pocket whenever I'm out and about with my camera. Works surprisingly well with a mirrorless SLR even while using a telephoto zoom lens so long as you manage the center of gravity well. Though it will struggle if you mount a lens that is too front heavy. The cellphone mount works decently well, though if your phone is too wide you may struggle to squeeze it into the mount. Fantastic for holding your phone to stream/record video. I had bought this product primarily to use with my digital SLR camera and feared I would regret the purchase. After putting it through it's paces on the nighttime streets of NYC and Chicago I can honestly say this is one of the best value/practicality purchase I've made for my camera thus far. If you plan to do a lot of night/street photography this is a must have.
