However, with all of them on, I can't really play because there is no cheating the pocket or manipulating shots to play position and all players know that positional play and practice is more important than just about anything else. For me, the better option to improve my game is to shim my pockets. This will tighten the pockets slightly, and will allow my aim to be improved gradually, over time, in a subtle fashion that won't affect my ability to manipulate shots and focus on position play.
