I did add a 10 pound weight and that seems to do the trick. **Q: Is ladder tall enough to attach to deck above 52” tall pool** A: I think it would fit without issue. My deck is level with the top of my pool siding, And I have plenty of the handrail tubing extending below my deck. The only thing to consider is how tall the first step would be. If the deck is above the pool siding say 6", you would need to consider if that would be acceptable. Depending on the top of the pool side, you may be able to step on that first before entering or exiting the pool. I hope this is explanation enough. **Q: Does this make a dent in the pool floor over time?** A: No, it's pretty flat. Depending on how soft the base is for the pool, it shouldn't. If you can feel the sand, or whatever substrate was used to put the pool on, move when you walk in the pool, there might be some settling, but it should be minimal. **Q: The picture looks white . can I get it in white?** A: It may be TAUPE and WHITE.
