It is very sturdy but the instructions leave a bit to be worked out, so it does take some time to assemble. Just a word of warning mine arrived on pallet which we had to unpack on the pavement, it is very heavy. What can I say other than this is the best thing I have ever bought. I was worried as it was very expensive but the quality is great, it arrived when arranged and was easy to put together. I can highly recommend any of the comfort range. So many sewing surfaces and it folds away into a smallish cupboard when I need the space for other things.
