The light turns on when movement is detected nearby. It only stays on for about 30 - 60 seconds. I keep the light switch turn on all the time and the light only comes on when I walk past.

what is difference between daylight and cool white?

A cool white is a more white light than a warm white which is more yellow. An old incandescent light bulb puts out a warm white light. A florescent light usually has a whiter looking cool light. The lower the frequency of the light the more yellow it will be. I like to use the 2700K lights because they look like an incandescent light.
