Good product.
Purchased to restore ceiling to consistent surface after plaster repairs. Works well but if rolling be careful not to let build up in one spot but overall I do like the look. I added this to the primer prior to painting.

Looks fine, More work than I expected.
I read all the reviews so I kind of knew what I was getting into. I only mixed half of the package into a gallon of paint as a couple of reviewers suggested. That was plenty of texture. I had to paint the wall twice to get even coverage because some places there was a lot more texture and some had a lot less. Going over it a 2nd time really helped with that. After it dried, the semi gloss paint that I used only looked semi gloss in some areas and flat in others, it was EXTREMELY rough. Like scrape your arm if you get too close kind of rough. I didn't like that very much so I lightly sanded with a fine grit then painted again with the same paint but without the texture mix in. The texture looked and felt much better after that. Finished, it looks like standard orange peel which is what I was going for. I started in the laundry room so if it didn't turn out well it would still be ok. I'm glad I practiced there. I have now moved on to the rest of the house and will be buying more because I want everything to be the same. Good price. Good result.

Works in a pinch but not my first choice.
So this works in a pinch. BUT; it's much rougher than normal texture the "sand" is quite literally like sand on the wall. I found it clumped quite a bit and some spots were very minimal. One day we will actually texture the wall but this was a temporary easy fix. It is easy to use dump and stir; it stinks so wear a mask as the dust will float around while mixing. It was a bit messy I used a 5 gal bucket.

Great product- works as described
Very easy to add to paint. Make sure you mix the paint and sand thoroughly. I even would stir it around when I needed to pour more into the paint tray. It perfectly matched a sand texture ceiling that was done in the 1960s or 70s. I recommend adding it to a primer paint and then after drying paint over with your final color. Primer paint tends to be a little thicker and the sand particles stay suspended in the paint better and won’t settle to the bottom of the paint can. I repaired a large crack using this and there is no visible sign of the repair.

Great for what’s it’s used for.
Works just as it’s supposed to. No issue with adding to paint and then rolling ceiling as usual. I normally spray ceilings, but the client had this texture on ceiling and I was not gonna get the same affect through my sprayer and ruin it. Home Depot was out and It was like $.03 cheaper online.. 🤣🤣 Have to save money somewhere

Power Mix
Over the years I've used ready-made sand paint from two name brand manufacturers. Neither is making the product. For this job, there had been electrical work and large panels of sheet rock were replaced - the new work adjoined old in several places that had been painted with sand wash paint. Can't tell the difference in the textures. Just be sure to add the sand slowly to the paint while power mixing. If less than a gallon of paint needed, proportion sand accordingly.
