Therapist recommended it, and I find it to be very helpful.
I find this to be good because you can do it at your own pace. It has some useful therapeutic techniques, and includes stories that make you feel understood and less alone. I have struggled with OCD for a long time, and this is helping me on my journey of healing. There were no problems with the quality of the book, it came perfectly intact.

Extremely helpful
The OCD workbook is a practical book that could be of immeasurable value to anyone suffering from OCD or to professionals who need to work with OCD clients. It has been written in such a way that it can be useful in terms of the clear description of the nature of OCD and of the different ways in which it manifests in people's lives. This makes it usable for OCD patients in helping them to understand what they are dealing with and to remove the guilt and self-blame that often is part of such patients. With the help of a therapist and this workbook they can effectively deal with OCD. As a therapist I found it most helpful in being able to explain the disorder clearly and to assist the client in working with obsessions and compulsions. This book can be recommended to a wide audience of those wanting to know more about OCD and to those desperate to change their own lives and those of others.

A Priceless Gem in the field of clinical treatment!
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a painful and intense disorder, possibility borne out of severe anxiety, early childhood trauma, genetics, environmental factors, and other variables. We have a plethora of medical and clinical data on this disorder, and some great books out there, written by highly qualified professionals. What stands out for me in this workbook, is the weave of clinical knowledge, experience, and genuine compassion, that comes through the words and pages. The clear and information descriptions, exercises, and tools, that the author so generously shares - is a priceless gem. The suffering that comes from having this disorder, is equally matched by the resource that this book provides. I highly recommend this book. Kudos to Dr. Hyman and team for a job very well-done! -Rivka Edery, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. Author of: "Hear Me Sing: Book I" (2016) โTrauma and Transformation: A 12-Step Guideโ (2013)

Very good book!
Coming from someone that has OCD, this book is well written in regards to explaining what this illness is and how to work towards finding some relief. Anyone suffering from this problem knows that it can be very debilitating to go through the motions of i.e. checking locks, making sure things are in there proper place and going through the same motions over and over, it is quite bothersome to say the least. The author does a really good job explaining this illness so that you don't feel like you are alone in your battle with OCD and that there is help in some of the problem worksheets that are included in this book. Your OCD won't change over night, but this book at least gives you a good starting point towards your recovery efforts. I am not associated with this author or book, but I would recommend their products. God bless!

Life changing for a partner
My partner purchased this book hoping to get a grip on a life long struggle with OCD. It has been immensely helpful, accomplishing more in less time than she had ever accomplished in 1-1 therapy. You will be hard pressed to find a decent therapist that actually follows the research-based cognitive behavioral methods outlined in this book. Most therapists want to chat, give you some Dr. Phil style advice, and take your money. It's shameful really, since CBT is evidence based. But the world is full of bad therapists. Regardless, this book has helped my partner significantly, and that's spilled over to my life as well. It's an absolutely wonderful investment and probably the best $16 you'll spend in your life.

Helpful
My therapist recommended that I should get this book, and read the first part where OCD is defined. This book helped me better understand my situation. Thd book can be divided into three sections. The first section defines OCD; the second section demonstrates how to use CBT to heal OCD; and the third section explains how to use ACT. I only focused on the first section and can therefore only comment on that. Having OCD can be very stressful so I found the book โIn This Moment Five Steps to Transcending Stress Using Mindfulness and Neuroscienceโ extremely helpful in helping me calm down, develop self compassion, and focus on what is truly important to me. I highly recommend it. Remember that you deserve love. Be kind to yourself, and help yourself in any way you can.

AMAZING! A must for sufferers of OCD
If you suffer from OCD, stop what you are doing and buy this book! As someone that has tried traditional CBT therapy, meditation, various books, mindfulness, antidepressants, homeopathy, vitamin supplements, CBD oil, I can honestly say that I have seen by FAR the most improvement in my mental health from this book. This book is all about facing your fears and realising they are not actually that scary after all. It is based primarily, though not exclusively, on Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. This is the only therapy for OCD that has provided consistently positive results for sufferers in academic research. I would recommend buying this book alongside a new notebook and really taking the time to actively record and do the exercises. I still have some way to go, but this book has got rid of 40% of my compulsions in around 3 weeks! If you really commit to it you can get through it.

Excellent Supplementary Tool for Therapists
As a therapist I donโt often use workbooks with my clients, but I ordered this one to work through with a client who could only see me every two weeks. Great information, highly recommend you get very familiar with the material and activities before using it.
