I mix it in with my acrylic paint, pour the mix onto a canvas, move canvas around to cover the whole thing (gets messy and a lot will drip off!) and then let it dry overnight. by the next morning you'll find the pour medium will react to the acrylic paint and do some really cool things. What I went to sleep seeing isn't the same thing I see in the morning, which is pretty cool. There may be other ways to use it, but this is the way I learned.

Hello! Does anyone have any recipes for making the pours that are in the pictures? I'm a beginner and still learning.

We can recommend the you tube channel "Woodypoo" and then select Annemarie Ridderhof for tips on paint pouring, including use of pouring medium. Pouring medium is an excellent final coat if that's what you are looking for. Floetrol is cheaper for mixing with colored paints when pouring.

My wife got this gallon size for the first time. Can't figure out how to open the container. I'm not there right now. Can anyone tell us how ?

Check out "How to Open Liquitex Pouring Medium" on YouTube. I posted this after being confounded by the gallon container myself.

How long can this product stay mixed with the paint? Can I mix this with my acrylic paint and let sit overnight to use the next day?

It’s probably safe to just treat it like you’d treat straight acrylic paint. It might be okay if you put it into a sealed container. I wouldn’t let it just sit out in the open overnight though.
