I purchased a few of these in December 2022 and it is now August 2024. They are still alive! Very cool. One has some dead parts, but seems to be doing fine. Another is almost entirely green and lush. I'd definitely buy these again.

Damage during shipping or pre-existing issues aside, it's still a living plant and you must be careful with what you do with it. I got mine during Winter, but it was still in good shape. I'm keeping it in a moderately warm room with some sunlight and LED light to supplement. A lot of mold and rot issues occur because of either overwatering, or excessive sunlight and temperature. Both of which create warm and ultra-humid conditions where mold flourishes. So mind where you place it, and how much water you might add to account for opening it to place live insects inside, keep them very small at this stage. Gnats, fruit flies at the largest at this stage. When you transfer it, make sure you have the right type of low-nutrient soil, and keep it watered with FILTERED WATER because regular minerals in soil and water will burn the roots to death. I already have a slightly larger greenhouse pod for six months down the line. I loved carnivorous plants when I was younger and I adore this little chamber.

It did amazing for about three weeks then began to leak and the seal broke. I don’t know if it was due to the altitude here in NM and any changes it experienced in transit but it was thriving it bloomed and then after it started to leak out then it shriveled up and died. It was very cute and and arrived healthy but after just a few weeks it failed to thrive. It arrived beautifully packaged and set it in my kitchen table not in direct sunlight in a temperature controlled environment but there isn’t any care it should have required it was supposed to be an easy way to add plants without more work ha ha I bought another one and that one is fine so it may have just been this one was faulty.

Have enjoyed this for four months so far. I keep under a standard lamp on my nightstand and rotate every week or so to keep it growing straight. I bought for the pitcher plant and was not expecting the additional 3 sundew plants which was even better. I bought expecting to transplant after a month or two (my previous attempts with tissue cultures had mold starting about that time). It also did not go into a dormant stage like previous carnivorous plants did for me during winter. I think the lamp helped the most for anyone concerned with the mold issues from other reviews. Cats have knocked it off the stand a few times and held up pretty well too.

The flower never bloomed on my pitcher plant. It has remained a small, green clump. Cheerful but very indistinct. I contacted the seller on day 32 and they never responded, not even to say "no to my request. I also ordered the an African violet. It was lovely until day 35 or so. Then all the flowers died. Don't waste your money.

The price is too significant for the item received. It is very small and no pitchers were present on plant upon arrival. It’s still green but does not look particularly happy.

I got this as a gift for my husband for his desk at work. He loves it and it is doing quite well. This photo was taken about a month after purchase and it is already showing new growth.

12/22 update - replacement also died within 3 months. original review - dead within 3 months, but good customer service - seller was quick to send a replacement after reporting the issue.
