Good sound and playability for advanced high school level player.

Lovely warm tone. Stays in tune surprisingly well. I hate to give 4 stars because this could be the fault of my instrument, but the A string gives me dead notes in areas steel strings didn't. This was my first experience with synthetics so it could very well be the fault of my instrument per chatgpt. An expert might know. I went ahead about bought a higher end instrument to replace my beginner one. Will put strings on that and will update the review to either 5 stars or 1 star depending on whether those notes are dead. Consider the 4 star a place holder until I have more information.

10 year Irish fiddle player Strung on a Ren Wei Shi artisit model I cannot speak highly enough of these strings. My instrument is newer and has a bit of harshness to it but these strings create such a warm tone that it balances out the tone. They are incredibly responsive and really just a joy to play.

I tried a set of Kaplan strings but was disappointed. As other reviewers said, the E settled quickly and sounds powerful and true. The G took some playing, but settled and I actually like it more than some of the other strings I’ve tried. The A and D, however, are poor. I have to bite the string in order to get them to sound properly. The A was weak when playing the c natural (2nd finger in 1st position) and all I got was harmonics without the fundamental tone. After playing on them, they’ve improved, but the sound on the D is still poor after a week. I will replace the A and D and keep the G and E for now. Years ago, a Kaplan A was considered a better string, but not anymore.

I really like how quickly they settled in and stayed in tune. I could hear a great improvement in tone.

Some of the worst strings I’ve ever tried in this price range. Bought them on sale because I’ve heard good things, so I put them on one of my backup instruments. They sounded muddy and they had this skipping, cutting-in-and-out sound that did not go away with rosin or a good clean. Not easy to play, did not want to fit into the tailpiece, and seemed badly made for the price. The A string arrived with the wires attached to the ball end already broken…and these strings WOULD NOT stay in tune for the first several days, making giving them a shot even harder. I’ve used D’Addario Helicore strings on this violin for about 15 years and they are decent, if not amazing. My go-to strings are Thomastik-Infeld Rondos on my other instruments. These Kaplans were horrible in comparison to any other string I’ve tried.

These strings are amazing - and sound great for a lot more hours of playing than most other strings we’ve found.

La calidad del sonido es de muy buena calidad es la primera vez que compro estas cuerdas pero tengo una duda, las primeras 2 cuerdas tienen un color diferente como dorado nose que sea repito es la primera vez que las compro. Si haci son de fabrica están excelentes porque repito también son doradas las cuerdas SOL y RE

Cok pahali olsada aşırı İyi ve dayanıklı Yüksek ve ileri seviye ensturman kullaniyorsaniz mutlaka kulanin derim. 3 ay da degil 1 yil kadar kullaniyorum ama ilk 3 ay sonra ses eski gücünü vermeyebilir. Ses ve denge bakimindan cok iyi ancak kötü yani aşırı pahalı olması

Die Saiten klingen auf meiner Geige super. Am Anfang quitscheln sie ein bisschen, nach ein ein paar Stunden Einspielzeit ist das aber weg und klingen besser als alles was ich bisher gespielt habe.

Buen sonido, mantiene muy bien la afinación.
