How many parakeets can be kept in it?

This cage is NOT appropriate for parakeets -- the bar spacing is wide enough that they can get their heads caught in the bars.

What are the dimensions of the plastic tray?

Thanks for your message and interested in our bird cage. The dimension of the plastic tray is 49X49.5X3.5cm(LXWXH). The bottom litter tray can be easily slid out for cleaning. A metal grate separates birds from the tray to ensure your pet birds’ health and the tidiness of the cage. Hope it can help you.

What size perch dowel length did you purchase? The one perch it comes with is too thick.

Feel happy to know you are interested in our Parrot cage with open top. The perches are 15.16" and 20.47" in length for your reference. Hope this could help you well.

Can I buy additional perches for this cage?

Personally, I like to take the existing perch with me and go to a local pet store so I am sure I select the right size, but you can also order on line - just be sure you are ordering the proper length and diameter. I don't believe this vendor offers extra perchs but easy to find.
