Mattress Extender 6"x36"x6"

Exactly what was needed to make my hospital bed adapt for my long legs. I purchased the 36x6x6” size mattress extender in vinyl cover that can be easily wiped clean or disinfected. This was the closest thing I could find to an extender used in the PT rehab center. There must be lots of short beds around! An aide just dropped it into place at the foot of my bed, no technician required, and it works perfectly to extend useable length. Definite concerns about the high price, but for me it was surely worth the money.

Followed up with seller about an issue- quick response and solution. This is a vinyl wrapped, fairly dense foam extender good for making a regular twin sized mattress work for an extra long twin mattress. A mattress pad or mattress protector under the fitted sheet will keep everything from moving or slipping. You can easily add padding under the extender to match your mattress height.

Recently switched my husband from a XL hospital bed mattress with a pressure pad on top to a low pressure air loss mattress. The new mattress is approx 6” shorter. He’s 6’4” so he needed the extended length. This pad works perfectly. I put a towel folded over twice under this pad and also wrapped it in a thick beach towel. My husband no longer complains about his feet not having someplace to rest on. Great buy. Delivery just took some extra time.

I am caregiver for someone who requires a home care bed that's longer than the standard 80-inch length. We bought a 4-inch bed extension to get the necessary bed length but the alternate-pressure air mattress we wanted was just 80 inches. This mattress extender was exactly what we needed to make up the difference in length. We put the mattress extension at the foot of the mattress, where it lodges against the bracket at the foot of the bed spring surface. I was worried that the mattress extension was just 6 inches high and the mattress is 8 inches, but the difference ends up being helpful to minimize pressure on the occupant's heels.

Just what I needed. Wish it was a little deeper than the 6 inches, to match the mattress pad, but I haven’t found any really that are eight or 9 inches deep! The sheet or towel under it works perfectly to keep it at level with the rest of the mattress. Nice texture, and has a very good quality cover on it.

I was surprised when I opened it because the quality was not worth what I paid for it and it’s lower then my mattress. I will keep it because I’m having surgery in a couple of days and needed an extender for my mattress.
