## Questions & Answers

**Q: can you use two receivers with one sensor?**
A: I wanted a 2nd receiver, but I decided to buy the whole combo again, since the receivers were so expensive. I figured I may as well buy the combo . So I put up 2 sensor/transmitters & set them apart -- you probably need 7 feet between them for them to work separately. Then I set my 2 receivers for 2 different music clips. So a person enters the driveway & sets off alarm 1, then a few feet later, sets off alarm 2. But I have one receiver inside my house for me to hear & one outside for an intruder or visitor to hear.

**Q: Sensor is as good at night?**
A: Works well at night. I have one set up to let me know when pigs come in to rut up yard.

**Q: what does "install the sensor to low" mean?**
A: The sensor has an off, low and high setting. The high setting will allow the sensor to detect a car or person further away from the sensor than the low setting will allow according to the instructions. If I remember correctly the low setting has a range of approximately 20 feet and the high setting approximately 30 feet.

**Q: I hate "songs" on these types of alarms - does it have just a simple pleasant "ding dong" or "ding" or something like that or are all 4 songs?**
A: I remember thinking that I only liked 1 out of the 4 choices because I'm the same way as you. Just a simple beep or ding dong, but I believe at least 3 of them are kind of "crazy" (I'm not home to check right now)

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far so good!
*by H***H on October 10, 2022*

[update 8/27/24] This has been working rock solid - everything I said in my original review is how I left it. No tinkering required except the height (keep reading). I used channel 2 for the chime and it's been a good chime. But yesterday afternoon the chime played and after the chime it said "Channel 2 low battery." I cleaned the solar panel in case there was dirt preventing sun, but this morning it said the same thing. Hopefully after mid-day it will be charged enough to not have the issue anymore. but inside the rubber bottom, ants have gotten into it, so maybe that is causing the issue, or maybe the battery is starting to leak, or an adhesive has melted, and attracted the ants? I'm not sure why ants would want to live in it. It is mounted to a tree, and it's pretty high now, after 2 years of the loblolly pine tree growing, and the pines getting thicker, maybe the sun is having a hard time hitting the panel. I had to put the sensor up high (7ft) and angle it down at the driveway to keep the lawn mower from setting it off over and over again. My Htzsafe sensor/alarm lasted three years, so hopefully this one is not going out after just two years. There was no rust or corrosion that I could see when I sprayed ant killer on it, hopefully not causing corrosion. I have the second sensor charging so it's ready to swap if needed, but I paid $60 for one Htzsafe and $100 for two eMACROS. I like the extra range on the eMACROS (I put it further up the driveway), but not if they die every two years.[original 10/10/22] My main concern is the bottom flap. Will the micro USB port and the toggle switches rust out? We shall see. Several hours in and it's working perfectly!I wish they would add a dial that would let you select one of 20 chimes.Full review:For the past 3 years, we have been using the Htzsafe 1/4 mile driveway alarm. This 1/2 mile range is better. There's a bunch of walls to go through, so I'm sure neither will go the rated distance, but at least these are not arbitrary numbers. This eMACROS is longer range than HtzsafeThe Htzsafe only has a single button on the sensor and was very finicky to set the range (it was also used for on/off and pairing). The toggle on this eMACROS was appealing to me for that reason. But, it's a possible point of failure. So we shall see. However, the Htzsafe had 50, 30 and 25 foot ranges, this eMACROS only has 20 and 30. I'm not quite sure what I had the Htzsafe set to lol it was so finicky, I just know it was not enough out of the box and I had to turn it up, and after several tries it worked better. So far the 30 feet range is working well, and my driveway is about 30 feet wide. The Htzsafe hung directly on the outlet which was perfect for me, but this eMACROS has more options, you can put it anywhere, and it can be battery-powered. So I found a different place to put this eMACROS since it can't hang on the outlet, and it's fine. It does have an eye hole to hang it on a screw so it can be hung, just not directly on the plug. The Htzsafe had more chimes. The receiver only had 2 buttons, but that was okay, following the instruction manual (don't throw that away on something with so few buttons!) I could change the chime, some were longer some were shorter. It appears this eMACROS only has one chime per channel. So if you put 4 sensors on this receiver, you have no choice of chime. The main thing I want to change is how calm it is, and how long it is. Maybe some toggles to change that for a future version?Mounting this thing to a tree was weird, but if you watch the main video (for now - amazon pages change over time) they show rotating the sensor 45 degrees so you can get a screwdriver to the mounting hole. I didn't think to do it that way lol. I'll leave it at that. The Htzsafe was much easier to mount and seemed too loose, yet it never fell/sagged for 3 years. Both work, but if you plan on moving it all over the place and readjusting until you get it within an inch of where you need it, the Htzsafe would be easier in that regard. The Htzsafe also used a standard ball so you could use other mounts. This one looks like it uses a ball, but it's not a ball and socket. it actually has a screw holding the 'ball' on, there is no socket. You can loosen or tighten the screw, but you have the unmount the square plate to get to it. This one basically is made to aim straight ahead, and that's all I need unless it starts having issues.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "My experiences"
*by A***E on March 12, 2024*

I bought a set of 3 motion detectors and 1 receiving station - (and “later” an additional motion detector) - because I was dissatisfied with “previous” motion detectors (which I bought -– from the hardware store - for a price of – approximately - 10 dollar). When „testing“ the „set of 3 motion detectors (And „later“ I bought an additional motion detector) - I made a "big" mistake - because I didn't immediately watch the video about „pairing“ (= Connecting the motion detectors with receiving station). The motion detectors „from the set“ were already connected „(paired“) to the receiving unit – by „seller“. For „connecting“ the additional motion detector with receiving station - you must follow the seller's instructions from the video. The "connecting" (= „PAIRING“) worked differently "here" - than I suspected at the "beginning" of my test (So - when I didn't see the video yet). I have at home (from another seller) a „humidity receiver unit“ und 5 „humidity sensors“ – which are „paired“ with 433 Mhz - too. If I restart my „humidity receiver unit“ - then it "automatically" searches for the humidity sensors.I “mistakenly” assumed that the „motion detector receiving unit“ - “automatically” searches for the motion detectors (“after a restart” of receiving unit). However, you must (especially if you buy an additional motion detector) "follow" the "instructions" in the video - because otherwise the motion detector cannot be connected to the receiving station. That's why I suspected - that the motion detector wasn't working (or is not „compatible“). Luckily, the seller helped me quickly with this matter - via email. Here was the solution to my „problem“: I pressed the button for a long time - until all the indicator lights start flashing. The “additional” motion detector must first be switched off. If all the control lights on the receiving unit flash - then you have to select the "wanted" channel. And only then is the (additional) motion detector “connected” to the receiving station. It was of course my "fault" - that I didn't watch the video immediately. So far - (as mentioned above) I have often bought motion detectors ("without radio waves") in hardware stores. And here are my “previous” experiences - with these detectors from hardware stores:I have (in the past) already tested a few ("rather" very cheap = approx. 10 dollars each) motion detectors "without radio transmission" ("from the DIY store") in the "outdoor area". And unfortunately (very many) - especially cheap - "infra-red motion detectors" often had difficulties working "properly". Either no alarm was reported - even though a car or a person was moving in front of the motion detector. Or too many "completely wrong" alarms were reported - i.e. "nothing" moved in front of the sensor, etc.... So I was very nicely surprised - when I "finally" bought an infrared motion detector set from „this“ seller - which ("roughly estimated") - works for me 95% to 99% - really "correctly". Of course I made sure - that there are no branches of trees (Or something "similar") - in the "sensor detection range" - because ("probably") - even with this motion detector - the danger could increase - that error alarms will appear. So far - it is the "best" infrared motion detector (At a rather „reasonable price“) for me - which I have tried in the "outdoor area".P.S.: There is also a receiving unit - which works with 4 AA batteries (or mains connection = POWER SUPPLY: AC 120 Volt/DC 5 Volt. Or you buy a receiving unit - which you “only” operate with a mains connection (=POWER SUPPLY: AC 120 Volt/DC 5 Volt). Personally, I always connect a ("charged") power bank when I want to "test" the receiving station outdoors. Because the seller reacted so "quickly" to my "problem" - I decided - to "design" my "FEEDBACK" a little more detailed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install
*by M***N on May 23, 2025*

I own a small ranch in southern Colorado. My gate is some 400 feet from the house and not directly visible. So, I decided to get a sensor system that has a good range, easy to install and use. This fit the bill nicely. Though the kit started with two sensors, it can be expanded to four with no effort. I currently use both of the included ones but plan on getting a couple more.Setup is a snap and false triggering is really minimal. Some times the wind might trip a sensor but it is a fairly rare occurrence. Sensitivity can be set to a lower lever to help combat it if it becomes too often. I noticed just this morning that birds can trigger them if they just happen to be in the coverage area and flying toward it. Very rarely does this happen, or so it seems. These are pretty big birds, by the way... Ravens. The sensors are solar powered and even after several cloudy days, I have had no issue with their operation.
