Review: Buy it - It's awesome, cheap, and works. I read a lot and I like reading with the book more vertical to help with neck issues and this book stand does the trick. I'm writing a review now 5 years later from owning the stand. My teen son has been borrowing it for reading his books and loves it. Very durable. Folds flat for easy storage on my desk. Adjusts perfectly. After 5 years, the little rubber stoppers came off of the end of the arms and the arms have gotten a bit loose but it still works. I'm buying another so my son can have the old one. If I'm buying another one, and the first one is still in good shape, you need to buy this. I read mostly soft cover books, some hard cover library books, but I've never used a really thick textbook on it.

**Q: Would this work for a large textbook?**
A: It did not work for a large novel (close to 900 pages) and some textbooks are at least that big. With the book I tried (and that book was the reason I bought this stand), it was too thick for support ledge and there was no possible way to make those page holders work. Very disappointed and will be returning this product.

**Q: How wide is the part that the book bottom rests on?**
A: Approx. 1.5 inches.

**Q: I have a very heavy nursing textbook its  looseleaf binded almost 2,000 pages will this be good?**
A: I think you might want to find something sturdier.  Also, the two page holders might not fit over the pages of your opened book.

**Q: Will it work for paperbacks?**
A: Yes it works for all kinds of books and papers and has promised to keep them pages in place if needed
